After having such a bad experience with another Bed & Breakfast, I remembered how much I enjoyed this place. The facility is nice and clean, well maintained. The breakfast was so delicious and I enjoyed it so much. You can get this at a lot of places but what made this place worthwhile was the people. The owner and his... More

We been staying at the Chrystie House every two months for over a year while visiting our granddaughter in Beacon. We absolutely love The Inn. From beautiful and well decorated, comfortable rooms a great beds and great breakfasts (from Homespun), we couldn't think of a better place to stay in Beacon. The innkeeper is not only very attentive, but an... More

Came to Beacon and Chrystie House on the Metro North from Grand Central for a week long getaway on February 13. Could not have been more pleased with the host, the breakfasts and this historic house. Yes, my wife and I took this visit during some brutal weather conditions, but the hosts made sure that we were taken care of.... More

My wife and I spent two nights at the Chrystie House after our wedding in Dutchess County, which coincided with Valentine’s Day weekend. We slept in the Albert Chrystie room. We were very happy with the hospitality and service during our time there. Mr. Lee is a very affable and friendly host, and a pleasure to talk with. He has... More

Ugh this was bad. From the pictures on the website, it looks lovely. And then all the good reviews on trip advisor, I thought it would be great. What's wrong with you people? Seriously, I'm not relying on trip advisor any more. They suck too. First, we went up for a romantic Valentine's weekend. We only stayed one night, thank... More

ChrystieHouse, Owner at Chrystie House Bed and Breakfast, responded to this review

The website photos and the photos submitted by the reviewers of Chrystie House on Tripadvisor reflected the reality, if the commends about the decoration and the house was all about the reviewer's personal opinions, the innkeeper has to respect, but if there was any suggestion that the reality is altered by untruthful photos; this innkeeper, also as the restorer of... I stayed in the CJ Slocum room with my girlfriend over the weekend and could not be happier with the quality of the room and how we were taken care of during our stay. To get there, we took the Metro North to Beacon from the city, then we walked about 25 minutes to the place. Mr. Lee, the owner... More

Our experience at the Chrystie house was nothing less than excellent. Our host, Mr. Lee was a gentleman and a scholar. His knowledge and history of the home and surrounding area were unmatched. He is a kind soul and has great appreciation for all of his guests. He prepared our breakfast promptly and it was delicious. The home is kept... More

In late October, early November, I traveled through the Hudson River Valley with my husband and stayed three nights at Chrystie House. We'd done our research for the trip and had high expectations. Let me just say, not only were they met, they were pleasantly exceeded! I'm an architect from Scotland, special hospitality place is always my primary choice. I... More

Stayed for the weekend in November. The Home is restored to its original splendor. Big, elaborate rooms filled with beautiful framed paintings done by the owner Yuan. Breakfast was included and consisted of tasty Quiche, croissants and scones served with great coffee. Enjoyed the friendly welcoming personality of the owner who provided history on the house and the area. Very... More

We're long time B & B travelers (over 75), and have high standards for staying in them. We were here for 2 nights, along with another couple we traveled with. The house is very historic (18c) and is in a lovely location with a large yard about a mile south of the nice town center of Beacon. Every day around... More
