I stayed at the Swann Inn with three of my friends for a birthday. We shared the Tranquility Suite which could accommodate a maximum of 6 people and had a little kitchenette. The Swann Inn looks so pretty - all twinkling lights and homely furniture. There's a table with tea, coffee and snacks 24 hours a day. The hosts are... More

This is a perfect Victorian hideaway at the foot of Mt. Beacon, with cozy private en suite rooms and friendly hosts. Neil and Darlene were very accommodating, and made delicious breakfasts - starting our days on a very high note. Highly, highly recommended!

We just had our second visit to The Swann Inn! We love it here! Neil picks us up from the train station and Darlene makes the BEST Gluten free waffles and pancakes we have ever had! They both are very welcoming and the rooms are warm, beautiful, and cozy. They always go above and beyond to make sure we are... More

My wife and I wanted to celebrate her birthday (and found we also needed a break from the kids and the holiday madness). We just didn't want to bust the bank. We knew that eliminating car rental (taking the train) would be a great way to keep costs down, but we could not find a single B + B w/... More

I travelled to Beacon for business, and because it was late autumn, cool and dark early, it could have been a bit lonely being on my own. But Neal and Darlene were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I stayed four nights in the Green Willow room which was cozy. Breakfast was tasty and generous. As others have mentioned, Neal assists... More

I spent two nights and three days at the Swann Inn of Beacon just before Halloween. I was picked up at the train station and welcomed with open arms. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. The breakfasts were scrumptious and I'd definitely go again! But, most of all, Neil and Darlene Caplan are charming and make the experience a... More

The Swann Inn was one of the few places in the Hudson Valley that had two weekend nights available during peak fall foliage time with only 10 days notice. This did make me a bit nervous BUT I should not have been. The Blue Room was lovely, the bed was very toasty warm and comfortable, and the bathroom was actually... More

We stayed at the Inn for a night recently and had a wonderful time. Darlene greeted us when we arrived and was very helpful and welcoming, and Neil took care of breakfast the next morning. He was so friendly and accommodating, even driving us to the MTA station! The room (green) was very comfortable and a really nice blend of... More

Swann Inn is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Beacon NY. The owners are both kind and considerate and make the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and was a real treat. They even accommodated my mother's special request to leave a gift basket for us on our honeymoon and went as far as shopping to pick it up... More

Perfect for a Hudson River Valley get away. The innkeepers are gracious, welcoming and helpful. The inn itself is charming, with many decorative touches and "collectibles" reflecting care and taste. Sitting on a glider in the butterfly friendly garden an unexpected extra to our stay. Coffee service always available and the breakfasts are delicious. Consider a boat ride and tour... More
