I booked this hotel because it was relatively close to an airshow in Geneseo. I called about 5 p.m. for a room that same night. After arriving about 11 p.m. I wondered if I had made a mistake. The Hotel loomed large and dark in the night. It is situated on a main St. through town. But there was no... More

Everything we needed including convenience. This historically charming hotel offered a comfortable night's sleep within the town business area. It has it's own restaurant. Our breakfast (Blueberry Pancakes) was exceptional at a very reasonable rate.

Ok, so the building is old, but it is sturdy, just not changed for 30 years. Contrary to some reviews, John, the owner, is a venerable old gent, and was very helpful in making our rooms ready several hours early due to our odd arrival time. They do have WiFi, and a breakfast type of restaurant which was not McDonald's,... More

The room was clean but the capet had many stains and was rumpled and old. The bed cover was stained. Would be better off not even using it. Tried to open the window and it wouldn't stay up. Shower curtain was dirty on the bottom. Bed was comfortable. Furniture style was dated but in excellent shape. They need to brighten... More

when we were booking the room, they sent an email to us confirming it's $130 for 2 nights, including my husband and I, and our two young kids, it did mention if we need extra bed, extra fee will be applied. but once we arrived, the owner charged extra fees for each young kid for every night although no extra... Did not stay there but had lunch there. Food was serviceable, bartender was nice enough but didn't know how to make a simple bloody mary. But the owner was so rude that I would never set foot there again. And certainly not recommend it to anyone. No wonder the place is empty . . .

I and my wife stayed at this hotel as an overnight stopover on our way to NJ. At the price this is a very good hotel and perfect for stopovers. The hotel is a bit dated , but it's also a point when you stay at the 100 plus year old hotel. It was a good experience, the room was... More

Stayed as a stop over. This hotel has lots of history and this is shown in the wonderfully old retro style coke machines and room furniture. It was clean and the host a lovely man who was the old mayor of the town. Not much in Bath and this is not the hotel for you if you want a modern... More

When the Microtel double booked our rooms, John from the National Hotel managed to squeeze us Canadians in after hours of waiting around the Microtel parking lot for our pre-arranged, credit card approved rooms. We might have had to squeeze more into the room than was normal, but John was a dream and opened the restaurent open so that we... More
