From the minute you get there every staff member knows your name. The "tents" are exquisite. they even have tiled bathrooms built in with big porches over looking the delta. You are immediately placed with a knowledgeable guide who will take you on mokoro rides, walking safaris, and boat safaris. The food is to die for and the entire staff... more

After my arrival from Camp Moremi where evrything was just unacceptable I wanted to leave but that was my last day in Botswana so I remained there. Managers were much more friendly than in camp moremi and I even got a lunch. Tents are less worn than in the other camp. Unfortunately the food is the same poor, bone dry... more

If you're looking for animals, this is not the camp for you. Because of it's location in the Okavango delta it only does boat rides (where you hardly see any animals), walking safari's (you see them from afar or if you're lucky you can get close.. must be very quiet though), and canoe rides (very beautiful scenery). It was definitely... more

This was a beautiful and remote camp. However, we were a bit surprised (and disappointed) when we arrived and learned there were no game drives. If you are traveling Africa for several days/weeks, this is a nice camp to "wind down." The staff were great and the food was excellent. Being such a small camp, it was fun sitting around... more

We are working in SA for a couple of months and decided to spoil ourselves with a Botswana trip. It was difficult deciding but after much debate we wanted to experience the okawango and our agent was fantastic - I think its very important that you have someone that's been there to advise you correctly! We absolutely loved this camp.... more

This was one of seven lodges we stayed at. I was a bit disappointed, in that our purpose in staying at these lodges was to see game. Camp Okavango however does not do game drives. It has a walk across an island, a relaxing poling across a shallow river bed, and fishing. Other than that, you are not going to... more

Camp Okavango was a fabulous experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable - the walking safari was amazing (and I was relieved not to come across any crocodiles whilst walking) We were made to feel really welcome by Michelle and MC and the rest of their team. The flight from Kasane was a highlight as was the mokoro trip! A great... more

I would like to preempt my entry by stating that this experience may be a reflection of the time of our visit and may not be indicative of high season/dry season. We stayed two nights at Camp O. We chose this accommodation based on availability due to the very last minute planning of this trip. End of October is is... more

We enjoyed our 3 nights at Camp Okavango and every trip out on the water or on the island. The guides are all extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and Judy & Kobus great hosts. The Delta was made even more special to us because we stayed here, it was definitely one of the highlights of our Africa trip. more

Great Camp, nice set up and great location. The baboons destroyed things when they had the chance, never leave food in the rooms! more
