The accommodation borders on luxurious, the staff are professional & very welcoming & accommodating to ones needs. The meals are excellent, from pre-dawn continental stye breakfast to full after game breakfast, to buffet lunch & dinner in the open. The drinks are included. Our guide was magnificent & the game viewing outstanding.

We absolutely LOVED Selinda. The hosts Melanie and Grant are awesome. The food was terrific and every need was met. We were treated like royalty and our "tent" was luxurious and cozy in the Southern hemisphere winter. Our guide, OB, was superb. We saw a plethora of wildlife, including animals that are often hard to view like cheetah and wild... More

I don't recall having to ask for anything at Selinda. The camp is so well run that the friendly staff seems to anticipate what you want. Accommodations are first class, and of course the wildlife drives are wonderful. Health note: the roads at this camp and others are "off road". Lots of bumps, twisting and turning. It's inevitable. If you... More

My family just spent 4 days at Selinda and it was beyond amazing! Mel and Gront were the best hosts ever along with everyone who works at the camp...we were catered to constantly. Our tracker Mots was so great as well...he had so much information about all the animals and their behavior and he clearly loves his job...it was such... More

This was my first photography safari and we stayed at three different camps. Selinda was my favorite. This is a private, well-run, beautiful camp. We were so pleased with the service from the staff and hosts (Mel and Grant). The only gripe that we had was that we couldn't check our email at least once to just make sure all... More

An excellent camp wonderful opportunity to see large animals in a quiet uncrowded area. The guide I had was excellent and we had some wonderful viewings of Wild Dog and Lions. Also animals come very close to the tent areas had an elephant sleep right next to my tent and had another one walk right by during mid day. Overall... More

A wonderful oasis in the wilderness! We landed by helicopter to be warmly greeted by the effervescent Mel and some of her team, who really could not help enough. The accommodation was very comfortable with great views to look out at from our verandah. Sleeping amidst the roar of hippos and elephants is something I will not forget. Food was... More

My wife and I had never been on Safari. While expectations were high, it was still the great unknown. By the time we got off the twelve passenger plane that we took from Maun, Botswana to Selinda Camp with five other couples, all of our hearts were racing with expectation. We jumped in the mondo four-wheel drive Safari vehicles and... More

Was at Selina in late April for four days. Second trip to Africa sixth camp. Both the hospitality and the game drives were exceptional. First, the hospitality and I have spent my entire career in hospitality. Peter and Kate are gracious, welcoming and have a great eye for detail that makes the guest experience exceptional. Examples. I mentioned I am... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Selinda Camp looks out onto the Selinda Spillway, a unique seasonal waterway that links the Okavango Delta with the wildlife-rich floodplains of the Linyanti marshes. Selinda Camp's nine spacious tents (including a family unit) are tucked away into the natural vegetation with wonderful views of palm-studded floodplains. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom and veranda. The main area is attractive, cool and under thatch and comprises dining, lounge and bar areas with spectacular views. Set apart from the main area is the photo and art gallery next to the camp's 500-bottle wine cellar, open-air deck, plunge pool and traditional campfire area. The Selinda Spillway winds its way through the Selinda Reserve and forms a magnet for the wildlife of the region. The area is thus an all-year-round wildlife viewing destination with large concentrations of elephant, buffalo, antelope, lechwe, giraffe, zebra, kudu, cheetah, wild dog, lion and leopard, with excellent birding of over 300 species in both the marshes and the dry country. Morning and afternoon-into-night game drives in custom-built 4x4 Land Cruisers with Guided nature walks, boating and seasonal fly-fishing ... more   less
