I chose to spend 5 days at Macatoo for my 50th birthday. It was a trip of a lifetime, the horses are superb, the guides excellent, the hospitality warm, the tents comfortable, and the rides... the rides are exhilarating and unforgetable. More

What a way to relax and unwind. Every member of the operation calm, polite , always with a smile on their face. The horses I rode were fit and well mannered and appeared to enjoy everything that was asked of them. Sue, being unable to ride at this time, with the guidance of Clever enjoyed her daily trips on the... More

Awesome, amazing......words fail to describe what a fabulous holiday I had. Having met a couple of people who had visited I went with pretty high expectations, but Macatoo surpassed those expectations in all ways. Everything about the place, the position, horses, staff, tents, food were first class. I couldn't fault a thing and if anyone reading this is contemplating a... More

What a great place. I went for the riding and it was brilliant. Fit, well kept, happy and balanced horses looked after by friendly and knowlegable staff. I travelled on my own but never felt lonely or in any way awkward. The accommodation was really comfortable and the food and wine excellent. I rode out every day in a small... More

superb riding, but not for the faint-hearted. galopps in deep water are very fast and every once and a while a horse steps into a whole and you fall with your hores in the water. not much damage, just wet. dinner on an island, on the platform, champagne lunch in the bush, sleep out on an platform away from the... Just returned from Macatoo. What a place! Food, horses, accomodation and entertainment second to none. We saw lots of game and came close to plenty, and, asa one felloew guest said, the wildlife around the dinner table was good too! More

This is a Horseback Safari in the middle of the Okanvanga Delta in Botswana - its location is truly stunning and the level of luxury achieved (not to mention excellent food) considering how remote it is, is phenomenal. The horses are really great and the game viewing exciting (you have to search but that makes it all the more interesting)... More

If you love rinding horses and wildlife, your dreams will come true! Exceptional horses very nice, calm and obeying yet real powerful, real fast. Very nice location, great staff, especially our guide Sekongo! My dream was to canter with wild animals: I cantered with giraffes, behind zebras, escaping a charging elephant, and took a great video of a hippopotamus fight... More

Fabulous riding for experienced riders here. First day out we got charged by a bull elephant - the horses were truly amazing, not spooked at all. The noise of the elephant was so close your heart was beating. Other highlights were galloping with zebras, they are surprising fast and agile and the galloping through the water channels. The horses were... More
