We visited Kwetsani for 3 nights in late-August 2011 on our honeymoon and had an amazing experience! Ronald was the ultimate professional and knowledgeable guide. We had many hippo encounters and an amazing leopard that we viewed! The food was also very impressive and we particularly enjoyed the local food night cooked by a campfire. Lastly there is a fertility... More

Kwetsani Camp was our second camp and very different from the first camp we visited. We landed at a small dirt airstrip where we gathered our bags and headed off to a boat that took us to camp. We were in the Okavango Delta during the "flooded" season so water was one of the main modes of transportation during our... More

I have just returned from a three night stay at Kwetsani Camp, deep in the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana. This was my second African safari, the first in 2006 at a private camp in South Africa. While I enjoyed that experience, it pales in comparison to doing the 'Real McCoy' in Botswana. My first safari was characterized by a... More

A glorious setting in the Okavango Delta with fine accommodations and good dining plus a dynamite staff. What a time we had. Thanks to all. Right now the camp even has a young male elephant roaming about eating from trees and bushes. More

This was the second camp we stayed at, for more of an individualised camp experience during a family trip to Botswana. It is one of 4 camps owned by the same family within this Delta concession. You arrive here after a half hour drive from their private airfield, a flight experience worth the trip by itself. This is a water... More

As someone who has made a number of trips to Africa and seen the Big Five, my purpose in going to Botswana was primarily for the water experience, and especially to take a mokoro ride, which to me was the ultimate Botswana experience. So we went in May, when the water levels were relatively high and the prices still not... More

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and had a wonderful experience! Ronald was a passionate and knowledgeable guide who was the best we met on our 3 safaris. Wildlife viewing was impressive...particularly the number of hippos in the area. When you arrive and go on safari each day you'll cruise along the hippo highway (a path made... More

Kwetsani was the first of 4 camps that we visited on a recent trip to Botswana and Zambia and was a good choice to start the holiday with. The camp itself was lovely - built on stilts in the bush, and at this time of year it's very dry bush although it's underwater in the rainy season. We had an... More

When we booked our trip with TravelBeyond, this camp was included in the itinerary. There were not too many reviews, and most of those suggested it was a great camp for "birders." Since we weren't birders, I was not overly excited to go here, but thought it would be a good balance of areas and ambiance for our other 3... More

Our first camp was Duba Plains which was incredibly wonderful. Wonderful management, location, animal sightings etc. We then were scheduled for Kwetsani for 3 nights. Very cordial managers, friendly staff, beautiful lodge and food. Well, it started off great…..we were picked up at the airstrip on Jao and took a boat to Kwetsani. We chilled for the afternoon and then... More
