We camped there in June 2014 for 2 nights, what an unusual place. Care, imagination & location was put into creating this interesting astablishment amongst the baobabs.Camp grounds were clean, spacious & with all the trimmings ( brai, fire pit, gazebo & power). The ablution block was clean & with hot water. The managers & staff were a good friendly &... More

We had no idea what to expect when we booked Planet Baobab. It is a really cool place. We stayed in Cabins 7 and 8 with comfortable beds, hot showers and nice ambience. The unique architecture and mosquito netting made it an exotic, yet comfortable environment. The food was freshly made and delicious -- particularly loved the soups. The staff... More

I camped here in May 2014. The set-up is very cool with a funky bar and amazing pool nestling under the giant baobab trees. The showers are private but open to the elements which I loved - and they had hot water! I did the tour to the meerkats and Makgadigadi Pans in the morning. I never expected to get... More

The Lodging: Nice little huts, simply furnished but comfortable. I liked the little porch in front and there was reasonable privacy with the huts on either side. We went in the cold season so I found the quasi-outdoor bathroom to be cool but the thick walls would be very cool and insulating in the hotter weather. Hospitality and food: The... More

We camped for two nights at Planet Baobab and thought it was great. The campsites were nice (individual braais and firepits, power ports, shaded area), and the campsite ablutions were clean and had hot water. There is a big pool area, and nice bar area. We had a delicious lunch one day at the restaurant, and the staff were all... More

An interest setting and interesting style. Good rooms and facilities. Good food with friendly service. We were disappointed that the morning excursion was not well-described by staff, as we might have taken that drive through sand rather than missing out, as we did.

Scenery is fantastic, the setting of central facilities (restaurant, bar, swimming pool) is great, decoration even of camping ablution blocks is done with great care. The restaurant serves decent food (don't expect gastronomic dinner though) en the bar is well stocked. Service is friendly. For us it was a perfect weekend trip to escape the dust from Maun. Camping facilities... More

I found the reception staff and hotel staff pleasant. Management lied to me so they could try and make an extra dollar out of me. They were dishonest with the information they have to me. They went out of their way to tell their staff not to help us with information. I stayed there twice and supported them but never... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in April 2014 with four friends during a roadtrip. The rooms were very nice. There are extremely large spiders that hang out in big webs above the walkways and there is a large bug repellent bottle in the room, but we didn't have a lot of bug issues. Bar is beautifully decorated. They organized a... More

Camped for one night. We ate supper in the restaurant. Good food, reasonably priced. Nice camp site with power point and own lapa. It was quiet but if busy I think the sites are a little close together and lack privacy. Clean spacious ablutions, plenty hot water. Great setting and the decor original and wonderful. Lit pathways at night with... More
