We loved the rooms of the 'hotel' and the trip to sleep under the stars on the Makgadikgadi Pan. Arriving at Planet Baobab and being greeted by Grace was akin to being welcomed home by a warm and beloved aunt. Our guide on the pan was interesting and informative and made a mean steak! We would recommend this experience to... More

Stopped here for a few hours when we were passing by. Very nice place to have a snack or coffee. Lots of beautiful huge baobab trees on the grounds with paths to walk through and admire them. Staff very nice. Would recommend if you were in the area.

We camped at Planet Baobab and enjoyed our visit. The people were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the creative, warm atmosphere. The campsite had a thatched structure for shade and was a comfortable size. The bathrooms clean with hot water :)

Very nice stay at planet baobab. It was a very well kept place, and had a lot of very beautiful baobab trees, hence the name! I would definitely recommend a visit. I camped, which was very enjoyable, but members of my group also stayed in the rooms, and said they were very nice. Unfortunately as with lots of Africa, there... More

We spent two days at Planet Baobab in July 2014. The rooms were wonderful and the staff friendly and accommodating. We encountered two problems. First, the restaurant seemed confused and disorganized. The procedure was that we were to order at the bar and let them know what time we would like to eat. Sounds like a great plan! It worked... Stayed two nights which was too long. Interesting experience. Booked chalet which is very small. If you are tall watch your head when going between the room and the shower. Concrete everywhere including the bed base and furniture. The worst was the methane smell from the sewerage system that permeated the room and made sleeping very unpleasant. Camping facilities looked... More

We've been here for 2 days and decided to spend the night into the Makgadikgadi Pan. We were a little bit concerned about our two kids (4 and 8 y.o.), but the service was simply excellent. The two guides soon made friends with the kids, involving them in every thing, so that they were very excited. To stay in the... More

Camping was fantastic here and the food was quite good. It was a nice place to have a combination of "roughing" it with also having pool and bar/food access. Nice music, outdoor feel and a great place to play cards. Hot showers, convenient facilities and a really really kind manager to make you feel at home. This was a stop... More

Having stayed there two years ago and been disappointed we decided to go back and stay for a night on either side of a camping trip into the pans. It has improved in terms of service and attitude though it is still worth checking the mosquito nets as on the first of the two nights we found some holes in... More

We camped there in June 2014 for 2 nights, what an unusual place. Care, imagination & location was put into creating this interesting astablishment amongst the baobabs.Camp grounds were clean, spacious & with all the trimmings ( brai, fire pit, gazebo & power). The ablution block was clean & with hot water. The managers & staff were a good friendly &... More
