Cannot believe I am rating this 5 stars but if you can get through a few days here, you will have one of the most amazing experiences. The accommodations left much to be desired. We heard they just installed solar panels so we had a dim light and a fan in our sleeping area and a dim light in our... More

We've just come back from here on what was our first trip to Botswana. Our travel agents Safari Consultants recommended and booked Camp Kalahari for us and we're very glad they did. I thought we were really going to see the Meerkats ( which we did) and a bit of look at the pans. There was a tremendous amount more... More

I stayed at Camp Kalahari in early October and it was the most amazing experience of my first safari trip in Africa! The camp itself isn't terribly fancy, but certainly more than adequate. The tents are on ground level (not raised on wooden platforms like some other camps), which made this seem like a real camping experience! The tents are... More

Camp Kalahari The flight from Maun to Camp Kalahari is just over an hour in a small plane. The closer you get to the area the more the land changes until you know you are flying right over the desert. We were met on arrival by our guide, Bart, whose knowledge of the local flora and fauna was incredible, and... More

Stayed at Camp Kalahari in early October, and had an absolutely amazing experience. The salt pans are a relatively desolate area without the density of wildlife elsewhere in Botswana, but the camp staff and guides make the most of the environment and tailor your experience to help bring it alive - the morning with the Meerkats was non-stop fun. Nice,... More

Camp Kalahari was only one of our lodging experiences on our recent Tauck tour of Africa to Zambia, Botswana and Cape Town, South Africa. The accommodations were a basic tent, comfortable bed (including hot water bottle due to cold nights); and the bathroom was exceptional, considering the location in the middle of nowhere - hot showers and all. The staff was... More

This is one of three camps in the northern kalahari, near the "pans". The tents are spacious, food excellent, pool is (was) very cold, but a refreshing oasis in the heat of mid-day. Our guide, "Professor" Bones was terrific, knowledgeable and drives a mean ATV. Camp activities involve a morning with Meerkats, game drives, ATV rides through the makgadikgadi (endless... More

This is a beautiful camp with a wonderful staff, game driver and cook. Each day we had very unique experiences, from hanging out with adorable meerkats, walking with Bushmen, going on game drives and enjoying the spectacular scenery. The home style dining at the lodge was a great way to end the day and make new friends. The tents are... More

We had the opportunity to stay at the Camp July 2014 and had a fantastic time. The Camp now has Solar Panels that provide electricity, but the kerosene lamps still add a romantic air at night. Tent is very spacious and bed very comfortable. Bathroom is attached, but open air which makes winter mornings interesting. Lots of hot water from... More

We had 3 nights at Camp Kalahari. For us this was a really good camp. The staff really good and very helpful. The accommodation was excellent including the outside showers. The food was very good. We were able to go on the quad biking in late afternoon. Game drives were mostly very good and Ossie tried his hardest to please.... More
