This is basically a $35-40 hotel room if it's not near the caverns. The staff was very friendly and the room was OK for 1 night. There was a musty smell that seemed to indicate that the rooms needed to be aired out a little more often, but it was nothing that we were going to worry about and after... More

Obviously we had picked this hotel for its location: it was great not to have to drive too far after hiking in Guadeloupe Mountains and in the morning we were the first tourists to visit Carlsbad Caverns, when it was still very quiet there. It's a simple typical road side motel - which we like. No frills, not fancy, but... More

We got here like most do, after a long drive. The host was waiting for us, and we got a nice, clean, very quiet, big, and inexpensive place to spend the night out in the middle of the southwest desert. It is also located right outside Carlsbad Caverns park. We got our reservation on priceline. The breakfast wasn't much, banana,... More

To be honest, this is one of the more difficult reviews I have done. I started with a Very Good rating, initially thinking it deserved better than "average", but as I wrote the review more things came to mind and I changed the rating. In truth we found it good, but not great. Being in the middle of nowhere, with... More

We had driven a 10 hour day. We were very tired and a little cranky. We passed a lot of nice hotels in the town of Carlsbad, but my husband wanted to keep driving to the caverns. When we got there everything was closed. There was only one hotel and it was the Rodeway Inn. We had looked online and... More

We stayed one night at this hotel right by the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns. It was mid-november and the place mostly empty. We paid $94 for a room with double queen beds and a rather dinky bath room. The room was very neat & clean by the bath room tiny. There was a continental breakfast. We did think it expensive... clean comfortable rooms. not luxury. stayed here two nights to be close to the Caverns as possible. only continental breakfast stuff, no warm food. coffee was good. there is a diner style restaurant and a post office and gift shop right nearby. I was glad to avoid the hustle of Carlsbad and be close to the Cavern. this is really... More

If you're expecting a five star experience, look elsewhere, but if what you want is a place to sleep that is close to the caverns, this is your place. The place feels old, but not necessarily in a bad way. It feels like you traveled back to the 70's road trip. Clean enough and with breakfast muffins. All in all,... More

I had work to do in Carlsbad and ended up staying here. Very nice rooms and it is the closest to Carlsbad Caverns available. I could not visit the caves as it was a business trip but I was very pleased with the service. I did not have any issues with rooms being made up. The only problem I had... More

This hotel is only 7 miles from the Carlsbad Caverns visitor center.....great location for easy access to the park. Our room was clean and comfortable with a nice king sized bed. The hotel is in a very quiet location. No road noise. We stayed for 2 nights. Unfortunately, our room was not made up after the 1st night. Breakfast is... More
