We stayed here because it is close to Carlsbad Caverns and reasonably priced. We reserved 2 rooms to include family members arriving from Houston. Both rooms were large, clean, and functional. It looked like the bathrooms and adjacent area had been recently retiled. The pool and surrounding area was clean. I can't see paying $100/$150 per room per night more... More

Pros: it was close to Carlsbad Caverns and the rooms were a good size. Cons: the room was dirty as if housekeeping spent 5 minutes preparing it. The floor was messy, the bathroom littered with hairs, unclean toilet, used coffee left in machine and the roof starting leaking water during the night because heavy rain. Service was average. Cost was... More

Very convenient to Carlsbad Caverns, which is he reason to stay here. Room was good size, and clean. But don't expect too much, and you won't be disappointed! The restaurant (two lots over, a separate establishment) closes at 7 pm and there is NOWHERE else to buy or get food in Whites City - so I had to drive back... More

Phone didn't work. Found manager who said we could use RV park shower down the road. No offer for compensation for inconvenience. One place to eat. . Only redeeming factor is that it was near Carlsbad Caverns, 20 mikes from town.

We stayed here one night in August, 2014. On the drive south, before we even got to Carlsbad, we saw signs advertising shops, restaurant, museum and the Rodeway Inn in White’s City. The motel was not what we were expecting. White’s City consists of two motels which are still in business, a restaurant which closes at 7:00 pm, a museum,... More

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend for one night as we wanted to save a night drive back into Carlsbad. The hotel is old, with no restaurant and the continental breakfast is Otis Spunkmeyer muffins and boxed juice, which continent serves that for breakfast? There is a grocer across the road but it closes at 8:00 PM... Food options in... More

Considering the remoteness of the location, this is a palace. There is not even any camping in Carlsbad except in the backcountry. The rooms are large, clean. My room had a refrigerator (buy your food in Carlsbad) and microwave. There is a "grocery" across the street with empty shelves but a decent restaurant a block down. The day staff was... More

We had planned to stay 2 days on our recent tip but decided to stay somewhere else coz the staff were so unfriendly and quite rude. The rroms were decent but the room rates were pretty expensive too for the quality of the rooms. The breakfast was quite pathetic too - just orange juice and muffins - no eggs nor... More

We booked this hotel blindly on a discount travel website. I was nervous about the property until we got there. We arrived late and the night clerk was very courteous. The rooms were clean and the air was cold. Beds were comfortable. Yes, the property is older and could use some updates, but for the price and the proximity to... More

It's the only hotel there unless you bring an RV in which case you'll stay at the RV park. Service is great and the folks in the office are very pleasant and helpful. The place itself is musty but fairly kept up. Flat screen tv, microwave, and fridge. Water park is fun.
