We stayed one night at this hotel right by the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns. It was mid-november and the place mostly empty. We paid $94 for a room with double queen beds and a rather dinky bath room. The room was very neat & clean by the bath room tiny. There was a continental breakfast. We did think it expensive... More

clean comfortable rooms. not luxury. stayed here two nights to be close to the Caverns as possible. only continental breakfast stuff, no warm food. coffee was good. there is a diner style restaurant and a post office and gift shop right nearby. I was glad to avoid the hustle of Carlsbad and be close to the Cavern. this is really... More

If you're expecting a five star experience, look elsewhere, but if what you want is a place to sleep that is close to the caverns, this is your place. The place feels old, but not necessarily in a bad way. It feels like you traveled back to the 70's road trip. Clean enough and with breakfast muffins. All in all,... More

I had work to do in Carlsbad and ended up staying here. Very nice rooms and it is the closest to Carlsbad Caverns available. I could not visit the caves as it was a business trip but I was very pleased with the service. I did not have any issues with rooms being made up. The only problem I had... More

This hotel is only 7 miles from the Carlsbad Caverns visitor center.....great location for easy access to the park. Our room was clean and comfortable with a nice king sized bed. The hotel is in a very quiet location. No road noise. We stayed for 2 nights. Unfortunately, our room was not made up after the 1st night. Breakfast is... More

Arrived after dark with no reservation. Guy said they had 2 rooms left with 2 queen beds for $95 plus tax. When I paid he sent me out on the street to an adjoining property (sign said Cavern Inn. Entrance has an empty beer can, twigs and bird feathers. Inside was worse. 2 Twin beds that moved and rocked like... More

We decided to stay here due to the proximity to both Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Parks. Hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was marvelous! Only minor complaint was that everything associated with the hotel (restaurant, shops, etc) closed up rather early so dinner needs to be planned ahead of time.

Like many other travellers, we booked a room here purely for its proximity to Carlsbad Caverns. The room was spacious and quite well equipped but the carpet clearly hadn't been vacuumed and the overall impression wasn't exactly one of cleanliness. When the air conditioning was turned on there was a distinctive smell of stale cigarette smoke. We hadn't realised quite... More

White's City and this, the ONLY hotel, are close to the Carlsbad Caverns (Carlsbad is 20 miles further away as we came from the west) but that's about the only thing good to say. We arrived at 6:30; the check in guy was fairly surly but did tell us to go right to the ONLY restaurant as it closes at... More

We stayed here because it is close to Carlsbad Caverns and reasonably priced. We reserved 2 rooms to include family members arriving from Houston. Both rooms were large, clean, and functional. It looked like the bathrooms and adjacent area had been recently retiled. The pool and surrounding area was clean. I can't see paying $100/$150 per room per night more... More
