Stayed just one night in Karoo View 2. Easter Monday. Big, spacious, clean room with similar balcony and great view. Located well above the main street in De Rust. Very quiet. Ample parking directly outside. Good welcome. Friendly house with honesty bar and we enjoyed an excellent home cooked dinner (proper shepherds pie and chocolate brownies with ice cream) -... More

I could not fault this property in terms of views, cleanliness and welcome. We had the most wonderful views in the middle of a thunderstorm and we had a great room. However they no longer provide the wonderful dinners others have commented on and there is very little alternative in this small town. Unfortunately we were only aware of this... More

We definitely do dinners. Last night Coq au vin was on the menu and the previous night Trinchado. The only times that we don't do dinners are when guests arrive late and unexpected or when we are out of town. On Friday nights we prefer guests to visit our local pub, The Kudu, where excellent wood-fired pizzas are made. But... More

My sister & I had a lovely one night stay in the family room as it was the only room with separate beds, so unfortunately we had to forgo the view over the mountains from our bedroom window. However, sitting in the lounge upstairs overlooking the valley and mountain views beyond was lovely. We received a warm welcome from Lani... More

Stayed here with friends for a night and booked the Karoo View 2 and Explorer rooms. The view from the Karoo View 2 is spectacular and it's a real treat to be able to open the glass panel doors completely and watch the sunrise from the huge comfortable bed! The room's private deck has the most incredible view which you... More

From the UK we saw this B&B via a schoolfriend on Facebook and thought it would be a good halfway break on our way to Kenton-On-Sea. On arrival, we were shown to our rooms...Explorer/Karoo View 2 and Karoo View 1... WOW was the comment from all 5 of us!! Stunning rooms.. After travelling we swam in the refreshingly cool swimming... More

On a two week tour, staying in some appetising looking places, we didn't have this stopover down as a particular highlight - stupid us. A wonderfully spacious room with a huge private deck offering the most breathtaking views greeted us. The pool looks out over glorious countryside. There's another viewing deck where Ben made us a truly gourmet dinner (the... More

Our room Karoo View 2 was large, spacious and well decorated. The balcony was huge and private and we enjoyed a lovely evening watching the moon rise over the horizon. Whilst this is the country we were surprised to see 3 dogs at the guesthouse, in the common areas and around the pool. If you are uncomfortable with Great Danes... More

Better late than never - after our stay in October thought I better get around to posting a review and this place is well worth taking the time to do so. We only had one night here between our stay in Addo and our next stop of Simon's Town and now wish we had stayed longer. With magnificent views from... More
