I would highly recommend this establishment as the place to stay to explore the Northern Cederbergs district. Wilma and Johan are well established in the community and there is probably nothing they don't know about the area, and local knowledge is always very useful. The accomodation is first class with spacious rooms tastefully furnished with victoriana and four poster beds... More

It was my birthday weekend and my husband wanted to take me away for a special holiday. We chose Clanwilliam, as we had been in the area before and wanted to explore further. He booked at Ndedema Lodge, a renovated historic home at the end of a road in this beautiful town. The rooms were spacious & well appointed. The... More

This is a converted colonial farm house and accommodation. We stayed in a family room back from the house. The bed was a double king sized that could have accommodated four people. You almost got lost in it. Breakfast was well and lovingly prepared; fruit abounds in this area and this showed in the meal. We were annoyed by a... More

Ndedema is delightful. A beautiful, old style home lovingly run by Wilma for whom nothing is too much trouble. Johan was also an interesting person to talk with and he helped Andrew to carry our rather heavy car fridge! The room was gorgeous with a huge, comfy four poster bed and a massive bathroom. The garden is a joy, an... More

We so loved Ndedema! Wilma and Johan were perfect and very helpful hosts. I love historic lodges and this was a real gem! The rooms were large with high ceilings, historic furnishings and fourposter beds, so quaint! The lodge sits at the end of the street in Clanwilliam so is very quiet. We enjoyed walking around town and our hikes... More

When I first saw details of this B&B in our itinerary I wasn't excited not being particularly fond of "old world charm" but this is different, this is genuine, a beautiful old house full of beautiful old furniture that is obviously much loved. From the moment I saw our room I was charmed, the big four poster bed, the shutters... More

We travelled to Clanwilliam not sure of where we wanted to stay for the night. Driving to the end of Park Street we found a little gem of a place! Ndedema Lodge is full of character and quaintness with an old world charm. Warm and friendly owners, Wilma and Johan, will make your stay a memorable one. The air conditioned... More

We spent two nights here and were bowled over by the level of hospitality shown by both Wilma and Johan. They really do care about their guests and this is apparent from check-in to check out. Wonderful breakfasts start the day and good advice was given on exploring the area and dining in Clanwilliam.

This was the best Guesthouse of our 4 week trip to South Africa. It was very luxurious and very comfortable. It wasn't too perfect, it had that nice comfortable feel with plenty of character. it had it's own uniqueness and was not the staid run of the mill guesthouse. Wilma was excellent, giving great advice and making us amazing breakfasts.... More

Ndedema has plenty of character in both the building, the furnishing and fittings so you can imagine life of a past age but still with present day comforts. However the lady of the house, Wilma, goes to great lengths to ensure that you have every chance to get to know the area and do the sort of things you like... More
