We visited early April with our 11 year old son, staying for 3 nights and we could have easily stayed for longer. We spent 1 night at the Malori, the sleep out, which we would highly recommend, our guide and tracker helped set up then left us to it, our evening meal was provided for us to cook on the... More

We've traveled many places around the world, and this is by far the best in personalized service with its outstanding staff, from beginning to end. The accommodations are excellent and comfortable, and the food and wines are excellent. Our safari guides were knowledgeable, and passionate about the Kalahari and the wildlife. It made our experience very special, appreciating it's people,... More

This destination is special because of it's typical "green" Kalahari vistas - red dunes , beautiful grasslands , acacias and mountains and big , big skies. There is a good chance of seeing rarely seen mammals such as pangolins and aardvark , as well as many beautiful antelope , rhino , cheetah , buffalo and lion . The game guides... More

Our fond memories of our stay at Tswalu is as plentiful as the red Kalahari sand. From arrival at the private airstrip to our last game drive, the service was above standard - attention to detail, friendly, professional, accommodating. The villa is spacious and comfortable decorated with safari chic, stylish and homely. Food was top notch. Game drives well planned... More

We couldn't have picked a better time to visit (late April) as the desert was incredibly green!!! The mid-day temperatures were quite warm but since you're not out on a game drive mid-day it's a non-issue. The mornings we were quite chilly and we had to really layer up (which I hadn't anticipated). The sunrises/sunsets are terrain were just gorgeous!... More

Stayed in April for 4 nights with our children aged 11 and 13. We had a two bedroom family villa which was wonderful - very spacious and beautifully appointed with incredible views of the reserve from both the bedroom windows and the lovely verandah. Every member of staff are so helpful, friendly and relentlessly cheerful! Our guide, Nicki was so... More

Tswalu covers breathtakingly beautiful property. Guests are offered the flexibility of covering the grounds at the leisure of your own private party - which is not usually the case at game reserves. Guides and trackers are extremely knowledgeable. Staff is welcoming and kind. Amenities are comprehensive to the detail - from hats, to postcards, personal fireplaces, and replenishing drinks &... The staff at Tswalu is wonderful. We loved our guide and tracker and the waitstaff and housekeeping staff made us feel very welcome. Tswalu felt like home. The cuisine is very enjoyable when one considers the remoteness of the location. We are wine people and found the list of wines that were included with the rate exceeded in quality the... More

There are many lodges and many opportunities to see game in Africa, but few, if any, can rival Tswalu. You are treated as an individual in everything, be it your dedicated guide and vehicle, your choice of what to look for and when, and meals when you want them. The houses are first class and the food is outstanding, even... More

Our second visit and just as wonderful as the first. The lodges are excellent and the staff can not do enough for you. We found the food could be a little "fussy" but the chef, Mandy, asked us each morning what we would like to eat and actually did for us one evening egg and chips as well as "bangers... More
