We spent a long weekend in December at Walkersons. The hotel is tastefully decorated, staff are accomodating and the rooms are spacious with awesome views. We loved our stay at walkersons for the peace and tranquility it offered. We will definitely go back!

The hotel is located within a lovely luxury estate, with trout dams, hills, a small river and private villas. The surroundings and the grounds are truly stunning and are perfect if you enjoy light strolls or hikes, fishing and good whisky. Spent New Years at the hotel when a festive braai replaced the regular dinner included in the price of... More

We spent one night at Walkersons as a treat and it was fantastic. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, with minibars to meet your every need! The setting is so peaceful and gorgeous. The main complex is extremely cozy and one can easily get stuck there with a few bottles of good red wine. The service is fantastic - cannot... More

We stayed at Walkersons and it was fantastic. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the staff really nice. Our fine dining dinner was superb and their wine cellar may not be huge but has an incredible selection of delicious wines. Breakfast was also excellent. We stayed in a lake view suite which has such a pretty view. Will be... More

Walkersons is set on beautiful grounds. The staff are all very friendly. We were disappointed that the dams, though numerous, did not seem at all well stocked. We would also have liked a turn-down service while we were at dinner, to add that extra luxurious touch.

We as a family were fortunate to stay at Walkersons Hotel for four nights not so long ago. Because of having a small child we were not able to stay in the hotel itself but one of the self catering cottages. The accommodation was adequate but the decor definitely needs some attention and coordination! My husband is a very keen... More

Its a real shame that more effort hasn't gone into the Gretel cottage especially since children are not allowed at the main hotel. Walkersons Estate is absolutely stunning and a really wonderful environment for children with fantastic fishing, cycling, horseriding facilities etc. The downside being that in order to enjoy these facilities one is forced to make do with what... Walkersons is a wonderful get-away at reasonable prices. The surroundings just force one to relax as it is a feeling of "am a million miles away!". It limited child access for residents and is thus good for those who need peace and quiet. However, day visitors are not restricted when it comes to children. So, ensure you get a room... More

We went back to Walkersons for the fourth time this long weekend. As always, it was such a wonderful experience. From check-in to check-out we enjoyed the warm hospitality and excellent service provided by Maria Bembe and her team. The lakeside suites in which we stayed were exceptional. We enjoyed returning to a warm room with a log fire having... More

There is plenty that has been said about the magnificent setting that Walkersons has to offer and it's all true Our family of four stayed in the Gretel cottage - one of the hotel's self catering cottages, which at R1850 per night is overpriced. The open plan kitchen and living room is very small and cramped. The double bed should... More
