The Walkersons Hotel and Spa is a great option to chose when travelling from Johannesburg to the Kruger region on return. It is also a great weekend break away option for locals from Johannesburg and certainly the best accommodation option in Dullstroom! The hotel offers a great Spa experience and the dining is amazing. All of this is complimented by... More

As we entered the beautiful grounds, we asked ourselves why we'd spent any time in the nearby Dullstroom town when we could have rather got to the hotel earlier. Hotel staff went out of their way to take care of us and nothing we asked for was too much effort for them. They made a picnic lunch for us next... More

We were regulars to stay at the hotel, but have not been back for a while. The weekend past was our first stay in about 3 years. Although we had an adequate stay, cost cutting is evident everywhere and the hotel does not have the same classy feeling... Fresh milk is the least that could be provided in the room.

The Estate and the property are outstanding, the hotel service however leaves a lot to be desired! Though we were staying in a private house in the Walkersons Estate we frequented the hotel a number of times to spend a lot of money but sadly were not made to feel very welcome due to rude and arrogant staff. Patrick at... More

When driving down the s-curved road to the estate, you already know that this is something special. Your mind, body and soul are immediately awoken! My husband and I together with our teenage girl and a very busy boy, booked at the last minute at Walkerson’s this past weekend. From the minute we arrived at the gate to the last... More

Dullstroom is a short drive from Joburg and Walkersons is a real treat to get you away from the hubbub. The estate is 800acres with buck, zebra, bird life, small wild cats (if you are really lucky) and, of course, trout fishing. If you are a runner, you can safely head out along the roads in the estate - but... More

This review is overdue by about a year. However, the fact that I am still reminiscing about our night at Walkersons more than a year later is a testament to what an extraordinary accommodation it is. Only a few minutes beyond the town of Dullstroom, the moment you turn off the road to Walkersons and descend into the valley the... More

What a wonderful place with warm hospitality and spectacular surroundings. The restaurant served delicious meals, and Klippies our waiter, was an exceptional character, refined in the art of attending to every culinary need. Well worth an overnight visit if you are spending time in the Dullstroom area.

We have been going to Walkersons for the last 12 years - at least once a year, but mostly 3 times a year (with and without friends). In spite of visiting a significant amount of other similar establishments over this period, there is still no place better than Walkersons. The beauty of the surroundings, the luxury and cosy rooms, food... More

From my arrival, you feel welcome, fire going, 3 course meals, this is a fine establishment. After a hearty breakfast (including whiskey infused oats) the day of leisurely fishing and lovely scenic walks awaits. Trout fishing is very exciting, and with right flies can be very rewarding. Wind the afternoon down with some sherry around a fire place and share... More
