Over the last twenty odd years we have been to Walkersons Hotel & Spa at least once a year and in some instances up to four times. Every time we go to another hotel/spa that is supposed to compare in rate, luxury, activities, décor, food and wine, we go home disappointed. Adri, the incredible chef's food has always been exceptional... More

We stayed in a house named Mark's Cottage. It was a 5-bedroom, 4 bathroom, self catering unit that had everything a group of 4 couples with kids could need. Warm bedrooms thanks to heaters and electric blankets throughout, warm lounge thanks to a fireplace that was well stocked with firewood, and a very good kitchen. The house was a short... More

We decided to get our of Joburg for the weekend to relax, I found this gem, it's reasonably close to get to and "my word" was it worth finding. From the point of arriving at the front gate , to checking in , to having lunch and being escourted to our room - I have nothing but praise for all... More

Our stay in Gretal-cottage was very enjoyable. The gas fire place was really effective at keeping the cold at bay! Although we didn't try catching any fish, we did enjoy walking through the lovely countryside.

Always a pleasure to go to Walkersons. Been our little get away from it all in the highlands for more than a decade. The setting is the best in Dullstroom. The grounds are magnificently maintained and the dams well stocked. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The good is still out if this world! All in all don't try... More

We were booked in for Walkerson's from the 9 to 13 July 2014 in the middle of the South African mid year school holidays, a family of four staying in the hotel. The day before we were to leave Durban we got a call from the hotel to tell us that the room we were booked into was right next... More

Stayed in the Gretel cottage for 4 nights. What an amazing time. Cottages are very well equipped. Gas fireplace, Lapa fireplace under the stars. Excellent bedding. 2 rooms off the living area. One with a queen bed and the other room with 2 singles. Excellent kitchen with SMEG gas stove. Trout fishing is good. 14 dams available. Genuine 4 star... More

We chose to stay here based on the hotel website room photo's & the fact that all rooms have fireplaces (winter on the Highveld can be cold!). We had originally planned to stay at the Forum Homini, Magaliesberg, which is much nearer to Joburg, but they were booked out. These two hotels are comparable in their room rates and both... More

We have just enjoyed a superb weekend at Walkersons hotel's Riverview cottage. The house is beautifully appointed with 4 bedrooms ensuite. Three are down stairs and 1 is upstairs. The master suite is stunning. The house is also very warm with a gas fireplace in the main bed and a large wood fireplace in the open plan kitchen / lounge... More

My family of 9 members stayed at the Canyon Cottage for 4 nights. It was luxurious accommodation in the middle of nowhere. It was such a tranquil and refreshing environment. We had our own personal dam that the cottage overlooked. The 4 bedroom cottage with 3 full bathrooms and extra toilet was very comfortable indeed. The huge open plan kitchen,... More
