We did not stay at the hotel but we had lunch on the stoep of the Dullstroom Inn on a fresh yet sunny afternoon watching the very interesting world of local Dullstroom go by. The history behind the hotel makes the experience interesting. The ambience is truly unique and the service was friendly. The pub's menu is rather standard but... More

We got there just after 2 pm, needed to have lunch and decided on Dullstroom Inn. Very friendly waiter and very helpfull. Very big portions, could not even finish it all. Nice bar with lots of story's to read on the wall. But could see that the accommodation needed attention and there was no proper reception area. Will be sad... More

The staff were friendly and the service in general was good. Unfortunately the hotel itself and the rooms are old ,stuffy and not well maintained. The wall paper in our room was pealing in places, the carpets and general upholstery was faded and aged. There seems to be a general decline in the facility that needs to be addressed urgently.... But we were very satisfied with our meals at the Inn. It has an English pub feel. It was a chilly night and logs were burning in the fireplace. Cricket was on the telly. Locals were gathered. We had the trout dinner and a chicken pie with puff pastry. Both were accompanied by lots and lots of veggies. ...very simply... More

This is one of the oldest "hotels" we have stayed in, and it is really old and in desperate need of some loving care. The place is fine for a one night stay, specially if you have been in the bar for a while...... The pub grub is great and breakfast was average. If you really have to stay here,... More

The Dullstroom Inn was probably the first building in Dullstroom, about 270kms/ 170 miles from Johannesburg/ Sandon. Dullstroom was a typical little country village with your obligatory 8 or so shops, The Dullstroom Inn/Hotel, a general dealer, butchery, Rose Cottage selling milk/bread, post office, pub etc until about 15 years ago. It's major industry was myriad trout farms. In about... More

Good service, nice food and pleasant staff. A safe alternative to the over-crowded and slow service we experienced at the Highlander. Sherry, Steak, egg and chips + bangers and mash were very welcome on a cold winter's night.

The people running the Inn are rude, arrogant and very unaccommodating. They have no idea how to treat people and they just don't seem to care what people think at all. We stayed there for 1 night, and that was too long. The service was extremely bad, and in fact the breakfast that was supposed to be served never even... More

Notices told us that place was gradually being renovated - and being 100 years old it does need it. It has a 19th century feel to it and the facilities are far from new but the nights we stayed were comfortable and the bar in the Inn is clearly popular with locals who were eating there. The food was Inn... More

We only stayed at Dullstroom Inn for one night, however it was good value. The rooms, decor and dining area are old fashioned. I think this adds to the charm of a Dullstroom B&B. The breakfast menu was great and everything was made fresh. The lady at the check-out counter wasn't friendly and barely said a word as she checked... More
