As a newly married couple my wife & wanted to stay at Dunkeld Country Estate for a quick get away after our wedding in the Lydenburg area. We were in contact with Dunkeld with regards to making a booking for 2 nights from the 23rd March. Charmaine Robbins who initially were assisting with our enquiry, failed to make & confirm... More

We had an overall fabulous two night stay in two Lodge rooms at Dunkeld Country Estate. Booking was expertly handled by Candice Robbins from Touchdown, great welcome by Mpho and his team, efficient check-in, elegant country-style luxury rooms and great food at the Black Swan. What more can be asked for in the beautiful surroundings of this country estate? I... More

We stayed in the "Piet-my-vrou" and friends in a different self-catering unit. At first glance it's neat and comfortable, but as soon as you start unpacking you realise there is not enough space for groceries etc. Couch was dirty too. The stairs are extremely steep and very narrow. Not ideal for young kids or elderly guests. The rooms are fine.... More

We spent a weekend at Dunkeld to attend an investment presentation on the new equestrian section. As it basically was a "freebie", we were concerned that we would be just dumped in anywhere. Well the unit was immaculate, staff at the entertainment centre not only very polite, but professional too (we left the kids aged 12 in the care of... More

The stunning Dunkeld estate was our choice for our dream wedding in November. Initially staff were very friendly, but placed a lot of limitations on us for the wedding. It was their way or no way, and therefore it costed us almost double the price to have our wedding there and make it special for us. On the day of... More

The Bad: The units at Dunkeld Country Estate are dirty and dodgy. The carpets are stained, the couch so dirty and stained that we covered it before we could sit on it. The TV was also ancient and the paint on the patio ceiling was peeling. The place appeared poorly kept and poorly maintained. The Good: The grounds and surrounds... More

I cannot recommend this hotel and would suggest that you investigate other options in the area. You will be able to find something suitable that offers good value for money. As I attended a wedding at this "estate", I thought it convenient to overnight there as well. I was disappointed with the place before I even arrived - to start... More

We had a wedding this weekend at Dunkeld. What we thought was the best location for a lovely destination turned into a crime statistic. While we were at the wedding reception, somebody broke into our house that we stayed in for the weekend and stole wallets, laptops and ipads. It was clearly an inside job as the power was switched... Patio furniture not all the same. Your so called Meet and Greet is a Sales ploy with sub standard snacks will not entice me to visit or... More

Only got booked into this hotel as it was the only hotel in Dullstroom that would let you stay on a Saturday night only. Not sure what we had booked, as very expensive compared to other Dullstroom hotels, almost twice as much as other acomodation we had booked in Dullstroom. The hotel itself is a little way from the main... More
