Good rate for the family. Loved every minute of our stay. Beautiful gardens with a marvelous swimming pool. Food so wonderful it was ridiculous. Brilliant food, service and great rooms with super modern decor. Lucas who works as the porter/waiter rocks!!!!!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

We stayed overnight on our way back to Jhb. The staff were all friendly and appeared to be helpful. The room is lovely and we were rather pleased with it all at first. The thing is, if you stay at a 4 or 5 star hotel you expect a certain level of service. ... wich is seriously lacking here. First... More

Dear Charmaine Thank you for the review., I would firstly like to apologise that you had to call 3 times for the wood and light your own fire, as well as no marshmallows in the rooms I can assure you that this is not our standard of service. As your booking was a last minute booking, and it was our... More

Warm welcome on a chilly winters day and luxury room as pleasantly heated. We enjoyed the spacious room and jnr loved the under floor heating in the bathroom, and the large bathtub. The sunblock resulted in a late sleep in. Breakfast was good but service took long- a slow town experience. Overall still recommendable.

We did not stay here but there is no listing for it in restaurants. We had a large group of 11 people for dinner. The staff were friendly enough but the food was terrible. The courses never turned up at the same time, in fact we had to ask for 2 of the mains twice to be served, the pasta... More

We stayed in Hobbit House, which was very well appointed and comfortable. The place seems to be getting a gradual upgrade, as the central reception, dining, lounge and bar area look very fresh and modern. Quality accommodation is frequently difficult to find in Dullies and after staying here, although not 100% perfect, we would probably choose to stay at the... More

We had one night booked at the Highlander and within a couple of hours had booked a second night. Truly special and luxurious. We were with friends that had been before and they had requested rooms 1 and 2. Wow! Beautiful big and comfortable. Huge veranda, open fire in room which they lit at turndown and a great en suite.... We stayed here for our anniversary and our visit was met with outstanding hospitality, service and care. The waiters Simon and Lucas were exceptional and attended to us as if we were the only people there. We were met outside by Lucas to receive our luggage and a personal welcome by the duty manager. Formalities completed, we were shown our... More

We arrived late on Saturday evening and fortunate enough were sent to the Highlander for the evenings accommodation. What a lovely treat, the room was spotless and very large with a private balcony which we only had the privledge of drinking coffee on the following morning. The staff and finer detail given to the people residing at the lodge was... More

The grounds in which The Highlander resided was very extensive and the rooms were very spacious, most with a second floor containing additional beds. The staff were very friendly and throughout my time built a very good rapport with our server. Although the menu was limited and, on occasion repetitive, the food was quite appetizing...prepare to be serenaded by a... More
