We spent an absolutely superb 3 nights at Mkuze Falls Lodge in December. Really relaxing lodge with gorgeous rooms and we particularly enjoyed the game drives due to our knowledgeable guide & tracker - Jabulani & Eliot, as well as the dramatic scenery. The kids had a fabulous time and are bugging us to go back already! The food was... More

Have just spent 3 nights at Mkuze Falls at the end of December with the family. The location of the lodge is awesome, you look over the river & falls which is gorgeous. The staff were all amazing, especially our guide Jabulani & tracker, Elliot. We saw so many wonderful animals! They were both amazing & have eyes that would... More

We stayed here as part of a tour around KwaZulu Natal visiting Protea Hotel Edward for 2 nights, Durban; Alpine Heath, Drakensberg for 3 nights; Isandlwana Lodge for 2 nights; Mkuze Falls Game Reserve for 3 nights; and Imvubu Lodge, Richards Bay for 2 nights. We flew into Durban via Jo'berg and hired a 4 x 4 (Toyota Fortuner) from... More

Arrived much later than planned due to wrong directions (from tour agent and Google Maps who have the wrong location - not Mkuze Falls own website which shows it correctly) and fell into bed. From next morning on things improved greatly. Accommodation is good and comfortable with fine views, and the restaurant/bar are excellent. But best of all are the... More

My husband and I went to Mkuze falls as part of our honeymoon and we truly loved every moment off it. The whole experience was perfect, we manage a lodge on a game reserve ourselves and can highly recommend this lodge to other guests. The food is delicious and there is plenty of it, the rooms are beautiful, each having... More

Very welcoming, excellent food and attentive service. Rooms fabulous with all you could possibly want. Plunge pool and outside hot shower thoroughly enjoyed by my teenage son. Loved the hot bath which was run and welcomed you back from an evening game drive. Hot water bottle for the morning game drive also a treat. Game drives good with attentive guide/driver... More

Fantastic staff. Amazing room (#8) with tremendous views. Knowledgeable Rangers. Superb spotters. Out of the world service and food. Stay for at least 3 nights as less is a waste. We were treated like royalty during our 5 night stay. We did not want to leave. We will go back. Norman & Elliot were awesome. THANK YOU all for making... More

This was our very first Safari, a treat for my 60th birthday, and I doubt we could have chosen a better reserve. The food was excellent, the staff extremely efficient, nothing was too much trouble, and we were totally spoiled. The location is perfect with amazing views from the veranda's and we were treated to the sight of Nyala sleeping... More

We spend three nights here. We have seen over sixty game reserves and lodges in Africa but Mkuze Falls Game Lodge reached the top. The level of management, staff efficiency and quality is definitely worth an example to many other places in South Africa and even right up to Kenya. From arrival until we left, we were looked after without... More

Despite many luxury game lodge options available, we find ourselves going back to Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve (not to be confused with the state owned Mkuze Game Reserve). On each visit, we have managed to see Cheetah, lion, elephant, buffalo as well as the elusive leopard. The rangers are amazing; they are friendly, keen to share information and very... More
