We have always wanted to stay on our way to Texas. Finally made a reservation. Warm, Friendly, great memories, clean, interesting historically! Could not have asked for more. Great period motor court - great history. Clean and comfortable. I slept like a dream!

The first thing you see when you approach on Historic Route 66, is the wonderful, bright neon sign. The owners-hosts, Kevin and Nancy, are warm and knowledgeable. We were also greeted by sweet Bessie, a golden retriever of a certain age and Max, a white cat, who runs hot and cold. We stayed in room 14 which has two well... More

My daughter moved to LA for a summer internship last year, and I volunteered to drive her car out while she and my wife flew. There was a method to my madness as I planned to take in the sights of Rt. 66 with the windows down and the stereo on 11, something I only get to do when I... More

Great period motel that just gets better and better! We love staying here! This was our 3rd visit in the last 3 years and we hope to return in the future. Friendly owners, comfortable beds, and great neon! What more could you ask for?

If you are looking for a luxury hotel with amenities that you never use, then you should look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you'd rather enjoy excellent service, super clean tidy rooms, comfortable beds, a bit of... no make that a lot of nostalgia for the old days of road travel( rotary phone and1955 National Geographic on the night... Kevin and Nancy are doing a great job with the property. This was my favorite stay on my 2014 Route 66 run. I am bringing a group on 66 in 2016 and we will certain stay at the Blue Swallow. It's easy walking distance to several places to eat and Kevin has coffee brewing in the morning. Having a garage... More

Stayed as part of our Route 66 road trip, and give this motel 5 stars on service alone. We arrived ridiculously early and the owners (daughter) immediately asked the cleaner to get our room ready. The rooms are quaint but facilitate every need. The neon signage is simply stunning and a privilege to see in the flesh. Not a hell... More

This place looks like it is right out of the 1950s. Sure, the bathroom will be tiny, but this is time travel. You can use your unit's attached garage if you would like, or just park in front of the door. Nice folks run the place, and are carrying on the traditions built by the prior owners (one of whom... Everyone was very friendly and the room was exactly as I thought it would be. No strip of wax paper around the toilet seat telling me it had been sanitized for my protection but what the heck. Good places to eat within walking distance and other interesting buildings to see. I will definitely stay here again.
