This beautifully renovated and lovingly kept motel is a walk back in time. We did book ahead even though it was early in the season and glad we did. Room 3 is delightful - the chenille bedspread, old dial phone, Tiffany style lamps, comfortable armchair and period style pictures were wonderful. Management/staff are friendly and helpful and went out of... More

We decided to spend 1 night here, while travelling along Route 66 and we're happy we did! Kevin was so nice, he even showed us the room before accepting our booking! And the room was amazing: everything was just the same as it was in the 1930's! The furniture, the lamps, the bathroom, everything threw us back in time...And the... More

We spent a wonderful night at the Blue Swallow reliving our childhood. It has been restored to its 1950s splendor--great attention to detail. Nancy and Kevin are wonderful hosts and make sure you have an authentic "road" experience. They'll even share wine glasses because, according to Nancy, "No one should have to drink wine out of a plastic glass." We... More

This was such a nice hotel. Such memories it brought back. Wonderful family running it. Well worth the money, which wasn't much! Would definitely recommend and stay again. Great stay and fun. Next time we are coming through with the kids.

This is a great place to stay for those that are doing Route 66 or want to see the type of place your parents or grand parents may of stayed at in the early days of cross country travel. The rooms small but quaint and comfortable. The current owners are very friendly as having just relocated from Michigan, If you... More

My husband and I stayed here one night on our way to the Grand Canyon from the midwest. We had driven by it over the years but were never able to stay so this time I planned the trip around a night here. We arrived mid afternoon and Nancy checked us in. We were also greeted by Bessie, their dog.... More

This was a cool place to stay, very retro. The neon lights at night are very cool. Also the rooms are extra clean and the folks here make sure you are comfy. While here, my friend and l also went to the old local theater We were surprised to see that it's still a operating movie theater.

When everywhere you go looks the same, you begin to wonder who we are. And how did we get here? Its places like the Blue Swallow Motel that help answer the question. Not much has changed here since the Blue Swallow Court opened during WWII. The place is super clean and the on-site owners are great. See for yourself. Jerry... More
