After puchasing an RV from Motorhome Specialist in Alvarado, TX (highly recommend you buy from them) we were headed back home to Arizona and stayed over night at the KOA in Tucumcari. It's a great little place to stay no matter what you're camping in. We made our reservation online and when we arrived they were ready for us. The... More

Great stop for the night, but it's no destination resort. Nice clean pool and lots of playground equipment, unfortunately the equipment is old and very dangerous. The sites are well spaced out with a few trees. The laundry is cheap and open all night and Wi-Fi worked great. It was surprisingly quiet for how close to the highway it is,... More

Campgrounds is outdated, rooms did not match what website says, Wifi was not working at all. Water heater was busted so had to go to complete other side of park for a warm shower. Park is right next to a water irrigation so the mosquitoes are TERRIBLE!

We had two blow outa on I40 and were actually towed into this campground on a tow truck. We called in advance and the owners were very welcoming. They gave us the biggest pull through site which enabled the tow truck to get us in place and propped up on wood for the night. The next day we got breakfast... More

Your options are limited in the area, so KOA is probably the best you can do. The good news is they welcome tent campers and have a good-enough place for you to go. It is just an open spot, but it's a large spot and there are funky little sun shades everywhere if you want one. This is desert country,... More

I would describe this KOA as the rest stop on our trip while crossing New Mexico. Nothing exceptional just average here. When we arrived the store was closed and we had to ring a bell to call the owner who gave us a friendly welcome when he showed up. The site we had had a tree positioned which prevented us... More

This KOA is adjacent to the I40 (hence there is some traffic noise) and is quite easy to get to. It is a few miles outside town and like most of the town, it has a very run down feel to it. Pitches are gravely sand surrounded by some rather reluctant grass and weeds. There are a few trees but... More
