This was the first time I stayed at this Motel 6. It was excellent, top to bottom. The folks at the counter went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well taken care of, and most importantly it was extremely quiet because it's a little further from the freeway than some of the... More

Nothing exciting to report for this hotel. I was close to the freeway, so was nice place to stop and they did take pets. When we checked in I was a little disturbed by the issues we had encountered. Their internet was down and therefore reservations were not coming through, but no one was looking into the issue and I... More

I'd love to say that any Motel 6 is just phenomenal but we all know that they are bare-bones, inexpensive and an expedient stop for a night's sleep, a shower and a smile for having saved some money. The really pleasant thing is that sometimes you'll find nice, out-going people there...and that was my experience in Tucumcari. They were great!

I stayed here for two nights and found the staff to be friendly, efficient and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, I liked the comfortable Queen bed , the TV was analog buy worked well with a good selection of channels. The only suggestion I would give is not to take room 101 where I stayed or on down... More

If what you’re looking for is a clean quiet place to sleep where you and your car are safe and everything works, this is the place to go. The only surprise I had here was that there were no “surprises” unlike every other Motel 6 I’ve stayed at. Everything worked as it was supposed to. The check-in and check-out was... More

Bathroom was not clean. That's reason enough for me to not stay here again or recommend it. They said they had no wifi because there had been a storm earlier that week. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 5 PM and had to drive to a McDonald's to find a rest room. Not a horrible experience but... More

I had the requested ground floor, single room, basic--no fridge or microwave. It was clean, quiet, the room was cool, the water hot, and the bed comfortable. Just what I wanted. I don't tend to use $20-$30 worth of tissues, shampoo or "free" breakfast, so Motel 6 is a good option for me. People were enjoying the pool (nicely landscaped... More

Advertised price "jumps" for fridge/microwave in room. Reserved quiet upper floor room, received street level room. Fridge warm (not plugged in), veneer peels of furniture, barren walls decorated with squashed mosquitos, flowery air spray did not overcome sharp urine like smell in room. Previous guests' towels still lying behind door. Sink full of brown cracks, shower with soap scum, mildew... More

... other places up the road!!! What I mean is that there were a few others up the road into town I would have enjoyed staying at more if only for it's ambiance. No ambiance here . . . it's just a Motel 6 but ... it IS Route 66 after all and one should explore more before settling in... More
