Stayed at the Hampton Inn on a trip to Arkansas, one of 3 hotels booked for a week trip. It was far better than the other hotels/motels I have stayed in here in Tucumcari. The check-in was fast because I reserved room ahead of time, beds were great, I need a soft bed and room was clean. I have no... more

Hampton Inns are usually reliable. However, we found this one disappointing. The unfriendly desk clerks asked us pointedly and insistently if we wanted a wake up call. The implication to us was that they wanted us out early in the morning. We were given a room on the third floor, which turned out to be primarily a smoking floor. Even... more

Acknowledging that the Hampton Inn MAY be the best place to stay in Tucumcari, based on our experience we're less enthusiastic about it than other reviewers. THE PROS: The front desk lady (from Lexington, KY) was wonderful, warm and welcoming. Our room was "roomy," clean and modern. The heat/a.c., TV, lamps, etc. all worked as they should. THE CONS: Our... more

Well, I haven't stayed in every single hotel in Tucumcari, but I don't see how any of them could be better than this. This Hampton is almost exactly like a new Garden Inn, but my AARP cost with tax was 100,00 for a king. No gym, but free breakfast. Great little heated indoor pool with sauna and whirlpool. I asked... more

This hotel might be pricey by comparison with other hotels in the area, but it's worth it. The rooms are clean and solid. Nothing seems "cheap" as you might expect in this rural town. The furniture and decor is classy and modern. The bathrooms are big enough to move around. Great water pressure! The breakfast is incredible! So many choices.... more

This place is the best in Tucumcari. The room is comfortable, well equipped and clean and new. Very nice. I liked the T1 secure line for internet (compared to unsecured wireless). I didn't like the toy coffee maker they have, which dispenses one (1) cup of coffee directly into the foam container (no hot plate to keep the coffee warm).... more

We booked two rooms for me and my wife and my daughter and her husband and baby. Front desk was very attentive and helpful. They called restaurant for closing times for us. Rooms were standard Hawthorne style and very clean. Bed mattresses seemed new...excellent sleeping. Breakfast in morning was like any other Hawthorne facility. David at front desk was very helpful... more

We stayed here twice - once on our way out to the Grand Canyon and then a week later on the way back. We found it here on this site and chose it because of its fab reviews. Even though most review writers warned about the sad conditions of the town - we had thought about staying at a vintage,... more

Air conditioning was great, nice and cold. Beds terrible, not the normal Hampton quality. Breakfast was pretty good. Front desk staff nice. Not bad for a one night stay. more

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed here while crossing the U.S. It's up the the usual Hampton standards -- clean, quiet, comfortable, luxurious beds, friendly/helpful staff, etc. etc. If you've stayed at Hamptons before, you know what to expect. The Internet connection is fast and strong. The commode flushes like a jet engine. The price is maybe... more
