Quick and friendly check in. The room was clean and had a warm welcoming feeling. VERY COMFORTABLE BED! Linen was very nice. Price was great and would stay there again. The only thing I found annoying was the noisy AC unit; it worked well but it was loud.

Absolutely wonderful. Clean, comfortable, coffee in room, beautifully decorated. Price was about 58 dollars and worth every penny. Would stay there again, hopefully when it's warmer. There was an outdoor seating are that looked inviting, right on Route 66. Best place in Tucumcari!

Loved staying here, one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, even better than my own. The owners were great and knowledgeable about Route 66 and where to go and what to eat in town, their recommendations were great! They also have one of the coolest vintage motel signs on Route 66!! I will definitely stay here... More

Motel Safari evokes the service and integrity of American hospitality without loosing the comfort and convenience of modern lodging. Not only are the property and rooms are ideal for road trip photo-ops, they make for a luxurious escape for any occasion. Clean, beautiful and with hands-down the most comfortable beds you'll find anywhere, I never stay any place else!

Just catching up on my reviews. .....stopped here in September on our travels across the mother road. Me, my brothers and some other mad brits had a great time, owner gail was brilliant, rooms superb, and the patio on the front is a great place to chill out. Recommend to anyone....real R66 feel, and a free shuttle to the lizard... More

My wife daughter were driving route 66 and this was one of the stop overs. When we saw the hotel from the road we were a little put off. However we received a warm welcome at reception and were taken our room. It was a nice chalet type room with double beds, TV, bath and shower which was what we... More

Do not hesitate to book yourself a room here. Just as advertised...the room was super clean. And the beds were wonderful. Super comfortable and three different types of pillows - flat, medium and fluffy - to suit everyone's desires. The towels were very absorbent and soft. The heater/AC provided great cover-up of any possible street noise. Enjoyed sitting out on... More

Done in the Doo-wop or Googie style of the 1950s, it has been fully restored and is a gem. The price is right, too. It's on the old Route 66 strip and so is an easy walk to other businesses on the street, some renovated, some still vacant. There has been a lot of work done to get the wonderful... More

EVERY time I am in Tucumcari, I stay at the Motel Safari. The rooms are retro style and the beds are simply the best beds on Route 66! It is a very clean property and right on the heart of Route 66. It is a nice change of pace from the 'chain' hotels and motels most usually stay at. They... More

My husband and I drive to OK every year to visit his family and generally Tucumcari is our last overnight stay. We've stayed at Motel Safari twice and have been VERY pleased with the stay and would always stay there again. Tucumcari fascinates me as a glimpse into the wonderful past of the American Road Trip (my favorite way to... More
