Too pricey for the simple accommodations that smelled of cigarette smoke. The bed was not comfortable in the slightest and the pillows reeked of smoke. The tub water was warm but that was the only thing cozy about it. Water could be heard in the ceiling after it was turned off on several occasions. The location was the best part.

I have stayed here twice in the past year - once in the Datura Room, and this past time, in the Waterfall Room. I love the privacy of the in-room tubs, the key being in the door when I get there, the paintings done by local artists on the closet doors, the tile work. It all makes for a great... More

So, we love "quaint and quirky" but water dripping from the ceiling onto me while soaking is a little more than quaint or quirky... The place is old, understandably, and fairly clean but you can tell they need to take a week or two off from renting rooms and get things up to snuff. The folks were fair and very... More

The Fire Water Lodge features quirky New Mexico aesthetics and lovely hospitality. If you want a private experience, this is the place. The hosts are unobtrusive, and the accommodations cozy. Two of the rooms have outside tubs, which allows an intimate soak under the stars. The casita unit is a newer addition to Fire Water and notable step up in... More

My wife and I went to relax after the school semester ended, and that is exactly what we got. The room (Morning Glory) was ready when we arrived early in the afternoon, and we were immediately adopted by the black and white cat (no name, we called him Kitten). The tub filled up quickly and the water was plenty hot,... More

Charming place to spend some time to relax and unwind. The location was great as it is located easily within walking distance of great restaurants and art galleries. The indoor hot springs tub was also very nice and relaxing. We were very impressed how quickly the large roman bath filled, and the nice open floor plan was also a bonus.... More

Having access to your own natural hot springs tub is awesome. The cactus room's tub is wonderful and the waters have wonderful properties. However, there is a difference between rustic and run down. Our heat source was two electric space heaters that were so old they didn't turn off when tipped over. No smoke detectors, so I wonder how they... More

Very nice! Waterfall room provided a good ambience and a private indoor hot mineral water bath. Exquisite! Thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Everyone in town was very friendly and welcoming. Hope to return sometime in the future.

Great people and very comfy rooms. Close enough to walk to some very good restaurants, and the museum. The in room tub was great. The courtyard is quiet, and I was pleased that they have a full kitchen and grill for guest use.

Feeling welcome before you arrive is always a great feeling! We love the lodge for our whole family... hot springs in your own room is amazing. Richard and the staff at Fire Water Lodge make the rooms a wonderful, magical and cozy place to stay. Each room has details and character that make them special. From newly remodeled to 1920's...
