I have stayed here multiple times over the past 10 years and our last stay here was horrible. It is a beautiful property with a unique place in the history of Taos, but the supposed "new management" will need to get it together for us to stay here again. Upon check in, we received keys to a room someone else... More

I travel to Taos often for work. I stay at the Don Fernando whose lobby is a wonderful mix of Spanish and American Indian treasures. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Also I found the pool great and the staff were great. They are always happy to help. I enjoy the breakfast in the morning as well as the beer... More

The rooms are spread out in several buildings on the beautiful grounds. Our room was quiet and clean, bed comfortable. The hot tub and pool were nice. But there was some peeling wallpaper on the walls. Breakfast was a joke; we got there and had to ask for napkins, forks. Never did get a knife to spread jelly on my... More

I rely on Tripadvisor a lot and this is the only time it led me astray. The reviews seemed very good and I chose it because it had a pool and a hot tub. The hotel room drains did not drain in the sink or in the shower, the pool was a disgusting green and the hot tub had stuff... More

Hotel Don Fernando was a nice hotel for the price. We paid about $60 per night and that's a good price for a hotel in Taos. The room was clean although not up to date. Breakfast was included but was a simple continental breakfast. What I liked was the indoor pool and hot tub. The staff was friendly. It wasn't... More

Do not stay here! The staff was so rude & offensive that it's hard to believe they're still in business! The breakfast was burnt, spoiled & disgusting. The plates had food all over them & when we asked for plates that were clean they told us we should have stayed at home. Our young children were present & witnessed this... More

This was our third time staying here to go skiing during new years/Christmas vacation. Swimming pool is not out of this world but big and good enough if you have little ones, last time we stayed they were fixing the Jacuzzi (big minus point, as per my wife) rooms are just that, nothing special but they have been cleaned every... Although the lobby is very attractive, I watched a roach crawl across the floor. Our room was like an oven when we arrived. The living room section had a fireplace, sofa, desk and arm chair, but the sofa's upholstery was covered with blotches of something, I won' guess what. Wallpaper was dirty and peeling in several places. The air conditioner... More

Since we had only decided to visit Taos only a few hours earlier, we had no reservations at any hotels. Using our phones to determine pricing, we decided to stop at Hotel Don Fernando to see if they had vacancy. Sure enough, they did, and they do AAA discounts. Very inexpensive. At check-in and check-out, the ladies who took care... More

I have never written a review before, this stay changed that. From the moment I walked in things started to go wrong. My 5 year old daughter was performing and dancing in fiestas. We are from Santa Fe. I wanted to make this get away special for her so I made sure to get a hotel with a nice pool....... More
