We were on a road trip through Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado, and stayed in 8 different budget hotels throughout. This one was by far the worst - not because of its appearance, which was charming, but because of the service, which was nonexistent. The man who works at the front desk after 4 p.m. does not care... Hotel Don Fernando looked so impressive from the outside. However when we opened the door to room 121, we were greeted with dirty towels, uncleaned bathroom and an unmade king bed! We requested a change of rooms and were ushered into room 118. When I asked for our coffee maker, as every room was advertised as having one, the front... More

Unfriendly staff, room was dusty and not very clean, the wireless internet did not work, the hotel is in need of upgrades to replace old tv's and very used furniture, and they didn't even have espn on the tv

Have stayed here once before and my stay was "just ok". This stay was exceptional. Price was great, service was great. Furnishings in my room were a bit worn, but bed was comfortable and room was very clean. I will certainly return.

it is not walking distance to the downtown area but it was clean and very nice. Breakfast was not great. I can drink only decaf coffee and I had to ask them to make some. We spent two nights and both days they were out of adult cereals. The staff was friendly.

When the room was reserved, we had specifications that would make us need a ground floor room. We get there and had an upper unit reserved with no elevator access. Had to go back to the lobby since they would not call us back. So had to stand in line for another 20 minutes. Finally get into the lower floor... More

I was so excited to book a stay for my son's birthday. When I called to reserve two rooms, I inquired about the pool & hot tub & informed the staff we would be having a small pool party for my son's 10th birthday. The pool was ice cold & the hot tub even colder. When I asked the front... More

The rooms have things in them that don't work, Shower heads , Lamps, Door locks, things that make your stay pleasant. When asked to fix them, they either don't have the parts or can;t. The advertised breakfast is a joke. You have to leave the hotel to get a decent meal. The worst part is I have been doubled billed... More

We were told they were rated as one of the best in Taos. If they are you need to stay in another town! We are a "senior" travel club so don't put us on the second floor with no elevator! They said they could handle 30 people for supper in their restaurant...they couldn't! One server who had to help their... More

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Our room was clean but the next morning when we were checking out a woman at the reception was complaining how dirty her room was. We went for breakfast before 9 am but found only one pancake, a few sad looking scones and some horribly looking country gravy. When I complained the... More
