My family and I have been coming to Taos for some years now as it is a near-by vacation hot spot, especially in the winter. The Whitten Inn did not disappoint! We've been to this hotel and the over-flux of people during the winter season is usually a huge hassle for this town specifically, as no one wants to work... More

Hello, Our family tried booked a hotel room with the Whitten Inn through Hotels.com. The web browser kept scrolling and not showing a confirmation. In short we booked two hotels rooms for the same weekend and tried cancelling one. This hotel would not refund our money back! Please let everyone you know not to stay here, even if it's a... More

David, the new owner of the Whitten Inn has provided great customer service and value for a nice hotel in Taos. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a free continental breakfast that I like to stock up on before heading to the mountain to ride. There's a very large indoor heated pool and hot tub. With all the... More

The WORST ever. DISCUSTING! Powered Poison was behind every bed. There was HAIR all over the sheets and the blankets. There was POOP in the toilet when we first walked in one of the rooms. There were sockets with no cover, with children this was not safe AT ALL! Stains all over the floors and hair in the bathrooms, stuck... More

The Whitten Inn is in serious need of updating. Carpet & furniture are thrift shop quality, the plumbing in the room was slow and the tub wouldn't drain at all. Positives are the budget price, friendly front desk, free breakfast and the 10-15 min walk to the old town. I have stayed here on prior visits to Taos, so my... More

The carpets were stained, and no coffee for the coffee maker. I woke up and was bitten by some kind of bug, it wasn't a spider. It was bad, particularly my face. My eye was almost swollen shut for 2 days, also bit on my arms, chest, elbows and hand. The front desk clerk said he would spray the mattress.... More

The rooms are in a need of renovation. Three nights and there was never any coffee packets in the room (apparently on order). The staff were friendly and courteous. We were placed in the back next to long term renters who partied until 5:00am. We asked about cancelling our next two nights due to the lack of sleep and when... More

We certainly got our moneys worth here. The location is near a friend's house so it was convenient as well. The staff is friendly and the continental breakfast is adequate. Back off the road so it's nice and quiet...and like so many other places we've been, nobody uses the pool or hot tub, so it's like having your own private... More
