I recently stayed here, 6/14/15-6/17/15, room 221 and had a so-so experience. The staff was friendly and helpful to a point. I asked for my remote to be replaced on the day I checked in when I realized it didn't work, that didn't happen. The room cleanliness was okay. The graffiti on the bathroom door and the nasty caulk around... More

Thanks for your business and comments. I apologize for the remote problem not being handled. The gentleman who did not treat you warmly is suffering from a summer cold/virus. As manager, he is normally THE one to insist on helping Guests thoroughly. He's been off key for the last few days and we operate with a limited staff so it's... More

We had a great night here. The beds were comfortable, the service wonderful and the view to the back park lovely. Parts of the building are older but it's a budget place and we didn't mind. Parking right outside and the rooms are far away from the noisy road. Easy walking distance to the plaza and some fun restaurants.

Thanks for your comments! Every Associate from the manager to the grounds people work for & appreciate Guest reviews. While most departing Guests offer similar opinions when they leave, too few take the time to let us know their thoughts. Thanks for the business and the report. See you next time! More

Stay somewhere else. We had items stolen from our room while we were away for the day. Other guests had items stolen from their room the same day. While some members of the front desk team were sympathetic and helpful throughout the ordeal, the manager was unwilling to help in any way. He was condescending instead of kind. His justifications... Sorry you feel the way you do. Tom, manager, gently & diplomatically explained the situation, the quite common & standard policies for us & most hotels, and even suggested that you file a police report to get your questions officially registered. Your response was to threaten him with posting negative comments online. While we employe honest hard working Associates and... More

Yes, it's close to the Plaza, but that is all it has going for it. Nice people at the front desk doesn't make up for the lack of services, cleanliness, basics. After noticing that I didn't have a remote for the TV in my room, the staff proceeded to move me to another room. That remote didn't work either, so,... More

Thanks you for writing a review. Sorry we failed to provide an appropriate room. The lack of completeness and cleanliness of your room is unacceptable. We've just changed part of our housekeeping team and improved the leadership part to provide what most Guests expect, clean, complete, accommodations. Clearly, we took too long to make housekeeping changes. Hope you'll consider giving... More

I always stay here when going through Taos. I stay because of the price and location it isn't for people that want things perfect. For those people. Go pay 150 per night. I just want a affordable place close to town and the Indian Hills is That. I have been staying for over 20 years through many changes in management.... More

Thanks for your business over 20 years! Our convenient downtown central historic business district location is probably the number one reason people choose us. We've tried to provide an affordable Taos lodging rate and will continue to make that effort. Yes, we've made numerous manager changes over the years, this most recent change is one of the best and believe... More

Stayed here for one night when passing through. This motel is located conveniently in the center of Taos. Restaurants and galleries are within walking distance. The place has seen better times, but offers good value rooms compared to the price level in Taos. I liked the style and the lobby, but some refurbishment would help a lot. There was a continental... The main entrance looked ok for a two star motel... however when we pulled around the back for parking it looked a bit sketchy... very dark. The room is as expected but everything was there and functioning! It was quiet and we ended finding a good value for the location.

Rooms were disgusting. Stains going down the walls, on the sheets and the carpet. Room had an awful smell. You can here everything in the rooms around you. There are no closets. Just an armoire that is missing the handles. The TV was an old tube tv.

Have stayed a couple of weeks a year durning ski season for a number of years. Since the last major remodel the owner has not been keeping the place up. 2014 ski season I found a number of rooms had permanent tenants which were noisly (had to move rooms) but the worst was that i had to buy my own... Thanks for your business over the years! We too are disappointed that we did not provide the service you deserve and expected. None of the front desk staff recalls (or admits) any complaints or questions similar to your post. Since TP is easily available across the street, we'll look into your questions and make certain it won't happen again. If... More

In my first room the TV did not work, so I was moved to a second room. The deadbolt did not work in the second room.
