When I first move in I was really excited because the house was so unique and living with 8 people seemed awesome. I inspected my room and there were many cobwebs, spiders, dirt and dead insects. The Earthship side restroom shower was taken over by mold. There are dust mites in the restroom that gave me an allergic reaction. (Do... More

Im disappointed in the landlord Tamera because the laughing horse is a very cool building. She takes stuff from the kitchen like pots and pans and hids them from everybody, the doors are locked in the gallery so if you want to get something from the kitchen your going to freeze your but off. She has a crazy dog that... More

It was REALLY unique staying at the Laughing Horse Inn! We stayed in the upstairs Loft, ( which I called the TREE HOUSE), because you had a GREAT view of the trees and birds with the floor to ceiling windows which lined the loft! The room was very spacious with extra chairs and couch and large table. The bed was... More

We had a great time at the inn. The inn keeper was gracious and provided us with everything we needed. The breakfast was very good with a southwest flare. A very unique lodging experience.

A wonderful spot with charm, history and character to spare. If staying in a chain motel isn't for you, then perhaps an older house with an earthship might tickle your fancy. Charming hosts let us play their instruments, and shared with us their art and lives. Travel for me is about meeting people and having different experiences. This fit the... More

We had a lovely evening at the Laughing Horse. We had our dogs and stayed in the earthship rooms, we had a great breakfast and the innkeeper was fabulous. The Laughing Horse is exempletive of Taos and holds a rich history. As I said, its a GEM.

It has been a while since we stayed here but our latest trip was great, once again. Breakfast was optional with $$ back for skipping. Location was better than I remember (walk to Orlando's and even "downtown" quite easily. We stayed in the Tokyo room which has a private shower and room for a pack-n-play, although we did not need... I stayed at the Laughing Horse with my girlfriend and had a great time. The place was clean, and the atmosphere can't be beat. The innkeeper, Jeanne, was hospitable and seemed to have a genuine interest that the guests enjoyed their visits to Taos. We'll definitely stay there again.

When arriving at the Laughing Horse we were welcomed by Jinny, the manager. She showed us around and was very helpful. The place is a look-a-like- earthship. If you like the concept you find it interesting. But at USD 90 you get a double-bed room with shared bathroom and a simple breakfast. During the night it started to rain...not only... More
