We had a lovely evening at the Laughing Horse. We had our dogs and stayed in the earthship rooms, we had a great breakfast and the innkeeper was fabulous. The Laughing Horse is exempletive of Taos and holds a rich history. As I said, its a GEM. more

It has been a while since we stayed here but our latest trip was great, once again. Breakfast was optional with $$ back for skipping. Location was better than I remember (walk to Orlando's and even "downtown" quite easily. We stayed in the Tokyo room which has a private shower and room for a pack-n-play, although we did not need... more

I stayed at the Laughing Horse with my girlfriend and had a great time. The place was clean, and the atmosphere can't be beat. The innkeeper, Jeanne, was hospitable and seemed to have a genuine interest that the guests enjoyed their visits to Taos. We'll definitely stay there again. more

When arriving at the Laughing Horse we were welcomed by Jinny, the manager. She showed us around and was very helpful. The place is a look-a-like- earthship. If you like the concept you find it interesting. But at USD 90 you get a double-bed room with shared bathroom and a simple breakfast. During the night it started to rain...not only... more

Jeanne the Manager was attentive and warm. The (Chili) room was clean and comfortable. Each room in this unique bed and breakfast is its own. The Inn and its grounds are filled with little nooks and crannies to explore. More like coming home than staying out. We have stayed there before, and will again whenever we visit Taos. So much... more

This was a great place. Coming from a person who owns their own cafe, pub and music venue this is a serious compliment. I though the house was charming and had much character and none of it was faked. Every bit of the charm was authentic. This is a nice place. My children 16 (boy) and 8 (girl) were also... more

"With that, the hobbit turned and scuttled inside his round green door, and shut it as quickly as he dared, not to seem rude. Wizards after all are wizards." We loved staying here; I think the negative reviews on this site came from a different era with different owners. This place is fantastic and completely original; in fact, each room... more

The Laughing Horse Inn has re-opened under new management and with upgrades all in keeping with the unique and tasteful funkiness that has kept me (and others) coming back year after year after year. The perfect place for a relaxing weekend (or week) in a unique building that is so much a part of Taos history. Great breakfast. Jeanne, the... more

The Inn evidently closed without warning around June 25, 2008. The phone for the Inn has been disconnected. The website also has expired. We had reservations and didn't find this out until we arrived to find the place deserted and a note on the door that it was closed. more
