After reading the glowing reviews, I was slightly disappointed in our room, particularly the bathroom. The shower seemed to have mold in it and the bathroom itself was outdated and needs some sprucing up. Fixing these things would make this place perfect. Also, the website pictures made the room look bigger than it is. Beyond the outdated (and possibly moldy)... More

The first night on our road trip we spent in Taos. Hacienda del Sol is an incredibly cute B&B, the rooms are lovely and decorated in a true southwestern decor. Breakfast is delicious with and amazing atmosphere . But the best thing is their backyard and the view on the sacred Pueblo mountains. The inn keepers are very lovely and... More

This place was a delightfully surprising oasis. Small and cozy with great rooms, beautiful grounds and a very friendly and accommodating staff. The full sit down breakfasts are delicious and filling. The staff goes out if their way to make you feel at home. We would definitely stay here again with a group or just as a couple.

Wow, what a place! My only regret is that we only had one night in the beautifully appointed Cowboy room at Hacienda del Sol. This is a truly unique place to stay. Everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable has been provided. The Cowboy room was large, clean with a super comfy bed, steam shower, CD player,... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. Wonderful view of the mountains. Superb breakfasts. Nothing not to like...would stay here again in a moment's notice. Room itself was charming...comfortable chairs to sit in outside. A great outdoor hot tub.

Nice, quiet place to stay. The breakfast is good but considering the Inn is owned by a chef, there is room for improvement here. The Inn keepers work hard at making sure their guests are comfortable and happy. They are very friendly and personable. We would definitely return for a visit.

Dear DawnLak, I'm sorry that you were not more impressed by the breakfasts we had to offer. We try to offer something different everyday so that people don't get bored. I will speak with the owner, who as you rightly say is a chef, to see what new options we can offer. I'm glad it didn't take away from your... More

Just a beautiful property with Taos Mountain directly in view in the backyard. A wonderful historical hacienda that was once owned by Mabel Dodge Luhan as a guest house (if only walls could talk). Gorgeous and relaxing grounds with a large private hot tub that is booked by the half hour for the guests at check in. We were able... More

Dear Paintapicture, Thank you for such a glowing review! The hot tub is a firm favorite of everyone, especially on a clear night when the stars are out. It can be spectacular out there. I'm glad the rooms was quiet and you we able to relax fully. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future.... More

A beautiful 'adobe-style' b&b in the stunning small town of Taos! Our room was tastefully decorated in south-western style & had a charming open fire in main living room/bedroom. The garden is simply beautiful with views over the Taos Mountain - there are many places to sit, relax & soak in the majesty of the amazing view. The managers are... More

This is our favorite B&B in Taos, maybe anywhere. Mark and Erica always exceed our expectations. The rooms are fantastic, the breakfast could not be better! We were here for our 23th anniversary and had to return for our 25th. We will keep going back to this exceptional B&B. There is nothing about this place not to love!!

Lovely weekend over 4th of July! We stayed in the La Escondida room. Very comfortable with nice amenities and excellent hosts. Our two night stay included 2 delicious breakfasts plus a cookout on the evening of July 4. All meals were tasty and well-presented. Other guests were friendly and enjoyable. Only drawback--wi-fi was so-so. Thankful my husband did not have... More

Dear JanB, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We've taken your feedback regarding the wifi seriously and have installed an additional wifi extender in that room. It appears to have solved the issue but I'm glad to hear that it didn't ruin your stay. The BBQ was a real success and I'm glad you, and... More
