You awake to a majestic view of Taos mountain--right outside your room with the wonderful songs of birds. Beauty and peace abound in this lovely place and the B& B is appointed with charming elegance with many southwestern touches and plenty of attention to a traveler's comfort. Wine glasses, lovely robes, a cd player w cds, and a beautiful candelabra... More

My husband and I were there one week ago for a two night stay and we miss it already! We were met by Luellen, the owner, who was an amazing host, she greeted us and showed around the property, she was extremely attentive and helpful and made our stay here memorable. Our room was wonderful, exquisite decor with a wood fireplace.... We are fairly local and wanted to get away. The Hacienda del Sol is a lovely, peaceful place. yet close to the center of Taos. What made the visit so great is the care that the managers take in making sure each visitor has everything they need. The room we had was beautiful, and the view from the porch so... More

This is a unique and peaceful gem of a B&B in Taos. Each room is unique, the overall property has great history, and the hosts are very helpful and informative. The architecture is just what you would want and expect in New Mexico. Very nice breakfast, customized to your liking. Some people staying there had been regulars for over 5... More

Given the gift of an overnight at Hacienda del Sol, we were lucky enough to get a room on Valentine's Day. We were greeted warmly by Mark and given a quick tour of the property. The back courtyard is beautiful, with a lovely view of Taos Mountain. Sadly, our room was on the street side, but was still very private... More

After twenty years of wonderful family ski trips staying at a great Taos B and B (Orinda, RIP), its closing made us look elsewhere. The Elsewhere turned out to be most fortunate for us and clearly destroyed the notion that 'all change is bad'. We secured four rooms at the Hacienda Del Sol and it's now home for the next... More

This bed and breakfast is a jewel with amazing views! Don't let the small drive off the main road derail you. It's tucked away smartly and is very private. We enjoyed the proximity to other sights in the area including shopping, sight seeing, ski valley, and restaurants (some within walking distance). The family who owns property are professional and gracious... More

Dear JulieC, First off, thank you for choosing to stay with us on your honeymoon! We love that guests feel our Inn is the perfect place to relax and enjoy, what is, a very romantic time. My husband and I stayed here while on a ski trip with our two adult sons in The Cowgirl Suite. The decor was beautiful in every way, from the tasteful Christmas decorations to the beautiful Southwest theme, with unusual tile, artwork, upscale bedding, great c/d choices, chairs to sit near the fireplace, and overall warm atmosphere. It felt as though... More

This place was very nice. The room was well done, with lots of care put into the decorations. The view was excellent with the mountains just outside the back door of the room. The breakfast was very good and cooked on demand, not just muffins set out like most places. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed at Hacienda del Sol 25 years ago and decided to return this year with our children. The B & B has changed hands twice since we were there, and the current owners have definitely improved upon what was already a wonderful place to stay in Taos. We four had the Cowgirl Suite, and it was... More

We always hope our guests who have returned after many years find our inn as lovely as they remembered it. We continue to make improvements every year but the setting itself has not changed and I believe that is really what guests remember - there is something about the old cottonwoods and willows and the backdrop of Taos Mountain that...
