We stayed at the Hacienda del Sol in April of 2009, toward the end of a two week trip in Colorado and New Mexico. We had a lovely stay here - the outdoor hot tub was delightful. The breakfast was very good (but not the best we have had.) The room we stayed in was very comfortable and pretty, but... more

We had a wonderful stay at Hacienda del Sol. It truly is a large hacienda close to Taos pueblo and with views of Taos Mountain. We were traveling on a long road trip with our two year old. We stayed in a suite that was large and comfortable. I love the decor in this place--pure Southwest. They have done a... more

From our arrival to our departure we felt right at home in this adobe retreat. The Inn is laid out so you have lots of privacy and it is very intimate. The breakfast was wonderful in the charming breakfast room. We stayed in the Cowgirl Room with it's gorgeous view of Taos Mountain. With it's comfortable bed and cozy fireplace... more

From the moment we arrived at this charming B&B, we were pampered and yet had our privacy. It was a magnificent setting with an uninterrupted view of the mountain and the golden cottonwoods. We were surprised by an upgrade to the honeymoon suite (appropriate for our anniversary trip). It was charming. There was a choice for breakfast between sweet and... more

Room, bed very comfortable, great location, but the breakfast was very skimpy and tasteless at best. Stay there, but eat elsewhere... more

We stayed in the Taos Suite, a strange group of rooms. The main room has a sitting area w/ gas fireplace, and a queen bed up so high it requires steps(not romantic!). There is a small narrow second room w/ 2 twins, where we kept our luggage, as there was no place in the main room to do so. We... more

Hacienda Del Sol was exactly what we were looking for in a place to unwind and relax. Reg and Dale made us feel like family from the minute we checked in. We were DROOLING over their homemade breakfasts each morning. The flagstone patio and spacious lawn/garden surrounded by trees outside our room with views of the mountains was an oasis.... more

My wife and I stayed 5 days for our anniversary and birthday celebration, our first afternoon we were greeted by Reg and Dale with chocolate covered strawberries, and a wonderful bottle of champagne. Our room was exactly what the photo's described, beautiful and the hot tub was really a nice addition to the room too. The area is away from... more

Almost every review of Taos' Hacienda del Sol that I read ahead of time was stellar, but that was not my experience when I stayed there. When I called to book a room for my 60th birthday in September, I was told there were just two rooms available for the days I wanted. One of those rooms, Adobe, was advertised... more

We spent two nights at this charming place last week. Our host, Reg, was extremely pleasant...he cooked us a great breakfast both mornings. I especially loved his french toast. He was also quite knowledgable about the surrounding area. The whole property was very nicely decorated and cozy feeling. Our room was very nice with fireplace and a patio looking out... more
