We decided at the last minute to go to Taos for the weekend of our anniversary, and we were so lucky that there was a casita available! We stayed 2 nights. We were a little late arriving, but got there just in time to be warmly welcomed by the owner, who had been in touch with us by text in case... More

We were welcomed to this wonderful place by our host, Richard. Waiting for us in the kitchen were a bottle of wine and delicious fresh bites of food. We had the two bedroom house that had the large chicken coop in the backyard. The house is beautifully decorated with local art. You can either sit in wooden rocking chairs under... More

Our family just stayed for a week at Casa Gallina for our son's wedding, and we loved it. The property is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The casitas are spacious, very well-appointed and comfortable, and have a real feel of living in someone's house rather than an hotel room. Our wonderful host Richard explained that he lived in each casita before... More

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in the 2-story, 1-bedroom Bantam Roost. We loved everything about our stay. The casita was very comfortable and beautifully decorated, and had full amenities. We had a deck with a view of the mountains and a lovely, peaceful place to sit and read next to the casita. The 3-acre site was a little... More

Beside that Richards Casitas are really outstanding, perfectly maintained and beautifully decorated, it's the plenty of details that make CASA GALLINA to a more than fantastic place. Richard grows salad and vegetables for his guests - you can go and pick - , and every day he comes with a surprise, be it homemade muffins, slices of watermelon or cookies.... More

My husband and I have been to Taos on many occasions but this was our first stay at Casa Gallina. This is a peaceful place that is very close to town and we will only stay here from now on. The property offers a few casitas or different sizes and is the perfect blend of self-catering and bed & breakfast.... More

This was our first visit to Casa Gallina and we loved it! We went with our family, including our 17-month old grandson. There are 3 comfortable bedrooms, a large living room, a full kitchen and dining room and it was SO quiet - even though our bedroom faced the road, we never heard traffic or anyone else staying there. I... More

We stayed in the Bantum Roost, a two story, 100 yr old Adobe. It was beautifully decorated, & exuded a peaceful, calm, & relaxing vib. Richard has an amazing eye for detail- any & every thing you could possibly need or want is at your finger tips. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted, both by Richard, & a lovely bottle... More

I'm staying at Casa Gallina again this weekend for the fifth or six times. We brought friends with us again this time, and they have fallen in love with this magical place as well. The grounds, the rooms and the owner are all exemplary. Come with a good book and some wine and unwind. You will not want to leave... More

This was my second time here! My husband and I celebrated our 29 th anniversary here in Bantam Roost. It was magical and relaxing! Richard goes above and beyond his host role! He treated us like family and with TLC! The eggs are delicious and freshly delivered each morning! When we arrived, wine and snacks awaited us. The best were... More
