Inn at the Rio is an incredibly quaint and colorful spot to relax and enjoy. Beautifully decorated and landscaped. Truly unique. Jules and Robert are wonderful hosts. Definitely a worthwhile experience.

She could care less about you or your schedule. I recommend avoiding this place, and the food is not that good.

We were there for a family reunion and had a block of five rooms. The owners were paranoid about being stiffed. Had to pay in full by check 5 weeks before check in. One of the members of our group had her reservation canceled because her check was late. Dealings with the owners were intrusive (what are the names of... More

There was nothing I didn't like about this place. Food...great. The couple who run the inn are friendly and full of great advice that really helped us to enjoy our stay. They even told us where to eat when we went on to Santa Fe, and it was a great suggestion. The inn is relaxing, the other guests were friendly.... More

If you want to be away from the crowds, this is the place. We have stayed here for 6 years in a row and just love it. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast is always excellent. And, most of all, we love Jules and Robert (the innkeepers and owners) as friends.

I just spent a week at Inn on the Rio and loved every minute of it. The product and service are consistent after 7 years of traveling to Taos and staying here. This is like going home and Julie's breakfasts (and Robert's homemade bread) are the yummiest and allow me to skip lunch! The rooms are always improving and are... More

This bed and breakfast was more of a motel style place with breakfast offered buffet style in the morning. The rooms are older than what we are used to due to the history of the inn. It used to be a motel years ago. When we arrived, the male innkeeper checked us in, but he didn't seem too interested in... More

This second visit to Inn On The Rio was just as fun as last years' . Truly, it is a unique property. Amply decorated to dazzle your senses. Hosts go out of their way to explain and are enthusiastic about what they do. Hospitality par-excellence! Yummy breakfast too. Rooms are cozy and clean.

We arrived in the early afternoon and our room was ready. The room was clean and very cute. It had a southwestern design and lots of hand painting on the adobe walls. There was a little seating area right outside our door. Remember the little roadside motels, this was a renovated version of that. There are 12 rooms, so very... More

I stayed at the Inn on the Rio in Feb. of 2004 and was greeted warmly by the inn keepers. I was a little disappointed by the motel like accomodations. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, but were simply motel rooms. There was an outdoor hot tub that we had to ourselves due to the lack of guests,... More
