We have stayed at Inn on the Rio multiple times during the last 20 years. The food is good, the room cleans and beds comfortable. I feel safe there and know details are taken care of by the on-site owners. Christmas dinner in the keeping room was a treat because guests visited with one another over a well prepared meal.... This experience was unlike anything I have ever experienced in over 30 years of traveling. At first site, we couldn't even find the place and thought we must be going the wrong direction, then we saw what looked like a Motel 6 strip motel that had been redone with adobe stucco and saw the sign. After seeing some of the... More

We have been staying at the Inn on the Rio for at least five years for Thanksgiving weekend as well as a good summer visit. It is our favorite spot in Taos. The Plaza is only one mile away and we often walk, but the Inn feels like a spot in the country. Great operators. Fair prices. Lots of New... More

We just spent 3 fabulous nights at The Inn on the Rio, and can highly recommend it. We could tell when we pulled in that this was a 1950's motor court, remodeled, and had a moment of uncertainly, but once we got out and looked around, we were sold. The hosts, Jules and Robert, are warm, welcoming and full of... More

The Inn on the Rio was outstanding in every respect. It is not a "typical" bed and breakfast. It is apparently a restored vintage drive-up-to-your-room type. The room was comfortable and very, very cheerful. Robert and Julie were delightful hosts. Breakfasts were always delicious. We are already looking forward to our next visit. The inn was the best part of... More

Location is awesome so close to Taos central without all the stress! The proprietor's, Robert and Julie are truly gems and will look out for your every need! Robert also makes excellent home made breads for your breakfast while Julie compliments it with homemade jams! The rooms are quaint and clean! Very comfortable beds and great outside seating with various... More

The female proprietor of this property is not playing with a full deck. Not only did she not honor our reservation made through an approved TA booking agent, but she tried to jack the price up on a booked reservation. When we protested, she kicked us to the curb and refused us our room for the night! All this at... More

This is a wonderful B&B and the owners are very friendly and nice! The room was very comfortable and most important it was very clean! I loved the decor and quaintness of the Inn. They served breakfast which was delicious, even though I don't eat gluten, I enjoyed everything I could eat. It's a little way out of town but... More

It's hard to convey how disappointed my 15 year old twins and I were with Inn on the Rio beginning on July 30 for a few days. The place is bed and breakfasty cute, with painted flowers on the walls and planted flowers around the drive. But no amount of cute can make up for the discomfort of these accommodations.... More

Bordering on boutique quality but without the pretense. Charming setting and decor. the rooms were very well kept and nicely decorated. The courtyard pool not only was great for a refreshing dip at the end of a hot day but also was a nice place to socialize with other guests. Small enough where the guests felt comfortable chatting on the... More
