We are so excited to be making our annual pilgrimage to Taos and the Inn on the Rio. We've been staying with Jules and Robert for about 15 years. We return again and again for many reasons--the beautifully decorated lobby and rooms, the peaceful setting, the amazing breakfasts that Jules makes, the excellent location near the town. This is not... More

My wife and I have stayed two or three days at the Inn on the Rio for at least the last eight years. Our stay preceeds our annual ski week to Taos Ski Valley so that my wife can adjust to the high altitude in steps. Before we discovered the Inn on the Rio, we stayed at a number of... More

This was another great stay (3) with Jules and Robert. Everything great as usual and we love the Southwestern motif. Robert did a great job with breakfast as Jules was temporarily on the disabled list. The breakfast area and fireplace are very cozy and attractive and the rooms are immaculate.

My husband and our three teenaged daughters (19, 16 and 15) stayed in two rooms at this adorable inn for five nights. The rooms are exactly as shown on their website - cozy, quaint and full of southwestern character. The innkeepers are delightful and the breakfast prepared by them for us each morning was absolutely fabulous. We so looked forward... More

The place is fine, friendly inn keepers, good breakfast, nice location but on both nights my wife and are were woken by a barking dog. The dog barked almost non-stop from 3 AM - 4 AM, just crazy. I mentioned it to one of the inn keepers on the first night but the dog was back on night number 2.......this... More

I only stayed one night, so I might not be in the best position to post a thorough review. Not much to say about the room: it was basic but comfortable, with very small bathroom. More or less matching my expectations. I was kind of disappointed about breakfast, though. Based on other reviews, I had great expectations but it was... More

We.stayed here for.a 3 night honeymoon. awesome choice. Quaint.rooms, friendly staff , the owner makes her famous recipe Breakfast casseroles and baked goods. The landscaping is beautiful. Great place to relax and romance. I like that is located a couple miles from downtown where it is less hectic. Nice reading room.with an eclectic library. We will be back.

I accidentally came upon Inn On the Rio when I was visiting Taos for the first time and had no reservation. I had passed everything by and was about to get online to do some research when their sign appeared. A room was available and it only took one look for me to know that I would be very happy.... More

My friend and I spent two nights here and loved the colorful decor. Robert was helpful with dinner reservations after we looked thru a huge book of restaurants. He was very knowledgeable on all the dining choices and helped us narrow down our selection. The breakfast on both days consisted of one egg dish and Jules' homemade coffeecake along with... More

Jules and Robert are great hosts! This was our second time there and we will definitely be back! Very convenient to downtown and the rooms are comfortable! The Jacuzzi is fantastic! And Jules Bran muffins are incredible! The decor of the whole place just speaks TAOS! And Jules and Robert are a Guidebook of knowledge of things to do and... More
