Beautiful room, great location, easy walk to the plaza, extremely helpful staff. We had a fireplace, and an outside patio. The grounds to the hotel were beautiful too, and have many sculptures. Ate at the restaurant for breakfast every day. Food was good. Would definitely go back if I return to the area. If you want a real treat, they... More

Loved this place! Short walk to downtown plaza area and short drive to Rio Grande Gorge area. Friendly helpful staff and beautiful room and grounds. Shuttle services to many restaurants and plaza area.

We stayed in a king suite that included a fireplace and patio with a view of the lush courtyard. The whole property is wonderfully done. After a long day of sightseeing we decided to just stay on the property and have a light dinner in the bar. The crab cakes are amazing and service was prompt and courteous. Would highly... More

We had visited the restaurant at this property on previous visits to Taos but had not stayed before. Beautiful property, excellent service and lovely rooms. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant. Our reservation was made just a few days in advance and when we arrived we were given a premier room (Egyptian) that was better than I had reserved. That... More

I stayed here over the weekend in a room with a king size bed and a sitting room. There was a fireplace, a large patio overlooking a koi pond with a waterfall. The bathtub/shower was beautiful, bath really big but getting into the tub/shower is a step up and over - not for anyone handicapped. The grounds were beautiful and... More

This hotel is not far from the main square and fairly hidden, the resort is quiet and provides good views of the local landscape and mountains. We ate at the hotel restaurant for lunch, service was a little slow but we didn't mind, the food was very good. We didn't have much interaction with the staff, but when we did... More

We enjoyed our one night stay at El Monte Sagrado. Quite luxurious room with a pleasant view of the trees and lawn. Quiet place, too. Taos is so small you really don't want to be staying near the plaza (unlike Santa Fe), and this was maybe a half mile away.

This is at a great location in Taos. Walking distance of the town centre. It has lovely grounds and the room I had in the second floor of one of the separate buildings was well equipped, well laid out and had a balcony overlooking the grounds. The swimming pool is only the size of a big dip pool. It is... More

You better not be thirsty (in this arid climate) because there's nowhere on this campus to buy a bottled beverage or snacks. You have to drive mile+ away to the grocery store. I'm in hotels 150 nights a year and have never encountered this before. I booked via Marriott but they say this is owned by Mr Kessler and he... More

This is probably our fourth or fifth stay at this property. My wife wrote the first review about five years ago after the Holidays. (Dec.) Now it's my turn. We love all the amenities and the grounds. We've upgraded each time we've stayed, and have settled on the Premier Suites. At our advancing age comfort is where it's at. My... More
