Seriously. You only get 2, thin, flat pillows with no extra ones. By the time you go to sleep and realize the pillows are awful, the office is closed (9 pm). The toilet paper is like sandpaper, almost too rough to use. On top of this, there was NO refrigerator, NO microwave, NO breakfast, NO coffee stirrers (what good is... More

I was in Taos for a wedding and stayed here with three other friends. The location and price of the Sun God Lodge cannot be beat. The room itself was disappointing. The lighting was terrible, which made getting dressed and "done up" for the wedding challenging. The bathroom was small with very little counter space. The shower head was actually... More

I liked this place. It is a little out of the mainstream, which turned out to be a good thing for me. The plaza area gets to be pretty crazy with a lot of traffic. I found it refreshing to step away from that. My room was small but cute. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Was walkiing distance... More

We loved the Sun God Lodge for the charming rooms, the budget price, the convenient location - we prefer small family owned over large chain motels, and this one is a peach! There is a small jacuzzi in the back court - we thought it was locked but it turned out to have a child proof door - you lean... More

Taos is an expensive tourist destination. We needed a room to break up our RV travel and get cleaned up. The motel was probably very charming 20 years ago. Now it just creaks of age. The beds were fine, the room was cleanish, the 20" TV worked. The walls are thin. We were entertained by our neighbors getting drunk. Not a motels fault... More

We stayed here for a quick weekend away and loved it. Small and simple, cozy and nice service. We got a good deal and she let us in before check in time. She also let us do our laundry in their private facilities which was super nice! Wifi wasn't very good though- had to be outside. Other than that nice... More

I've stayed in a number of motels in Taos over the years and the Sun God is the best value for money I have found. To start, you really feel you're in New Mexico. The motel buildings are done both outside and inside in Santa Fe style -- wood-and-adobe construction, tile floors. Location is on the main highway coming in... More

This motel has such potential if a little upkeep was put into it. The staff are very friendly and the motel is quiet. I love the decor. The bathroom was clean but the rest of the room wasn't. The floor hadn't been vacuumed and the furniture looked like it hadn't been dusted in a month. The air conditioner worked great... More

This lodge is very nice, quiet and run by super nice people Gasper and Cindy that go out of way to make your stay with them like home. The place is convenient to eateries and is motorcycle friendly. While traveling to this beautiful area this place is must stay.
