We came to Taos on a whim, I used to truck through Taos hauling lumber from the mountains west of there in the 70's and 80's I had not been here in 25 or more years . I was in Colorado on business and in no hurry and as me girl friend had never seen Taos i brought her we... More

The good news was we spent a good night--it was quiet and warm. The Taos Funky part was that our room was not ready when we arrived at 3:30. They gave us a different room after I protested and this room had guys trying to fix the heat coming in and out for about 30 minutes. Someone else had been... More

We signed up through hotels.com and because of a snow storm they let us arrive a day late. BONUS points for that. No extra charge. The day we did arrive their computer had a glitch and they didn't know we were coming. The office closes at 9pm (our paperwork didn't tell us that) so at 9:30pm we had to wait... More

Do not even consider staying at Sun God Lodge. Not sure why, or how, this place stays in business. I assume most of their rooms don't have running water or heat because they only book maybe 10 rooms a night then claim to be all booked up (which I suppose technically is accurate). There was no heat in our room... More

The Staff, the Staff, the Staff!!!! These guys went so over and beyond for us we cannot say enough!!! Talia, Diana, and especially Richard - really helped save the day for us!!! Our car broke down in Taos - which ended up being a catastrophic failure...the car could not be repaired locally, we had to have our vehicle towed to... More

The rooms we stayed in were both nice. The first room was a normal hotel room with two beds. The rooms were warm, beds were comfortable, the room had a small kitchenette. The room could have used a little work, but overall it was nice. There was problem with the water heater in the building we were in, but they... More

Older motel that was probably splendid in its heyday; now has nice rooms with a reasonable price for the area as long as you ignore the neglected grounds. Our room with a Southwest theme was spacious, very clean, comfortable bed and lots of tile. Wi-Fi worked well. But, subpar by today's standards, there was no refrigerator, microwave or hair dryer,... My niece and I stayed at this motel in Taos a couple of days last September 2015. It's in a convenient spot right on the main road into town and has decent rooms, large enough, but nothing dramatic or special. They're clean but a bit dark. I think it may have been built in 70's or 80's There's a lot... More

We came here despite the reviews. Had lovely room #137. Quiet. Lovely decor. Clean bathroom, clean water. Comfortable bed. Front desk was friendly and directing us to a family restaurant worth it's recommendation. We prefer family run places that locals frequent. There are some repairs going on at the hotel. But I would come back, definitely. Oh, no fridge or... More

So disgusting. Old and broken down everything. No outlet in the bathroom. Facet loose, bathtub was so old it had stains and was grey from age. Light bulbs out in room and outside door and along the whole corridor, so you had to leave on your car lights to see. TV was ancient. Paint peeling. One chair in room was... More
