The office staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. BUT...that's where everything ends. Room was short on everything. We could hear neighbors and noise from the parking lot. I think we arrived 20 years late for staying here. Room was probably nice at some point.

Terrible experience at the Sun God Lodge including wasps, flies, and spiders in our room to having to walk to the office each evening to get towels that were not replaced in our room. We should have taken heed to other TripAdvisor reviews of this motel before deciding to stay at this motel.

The mattress was old and hard. Both my husband and I both felt like we were bitten by something. Not sure if it was fleas, bed bugs or what. I had brought my own pillows, but decide to throw them away after having them it that bed. Didn't want to take a chance of taking home any bugs. The staff... More

The rustic, Santa Fe furniture and bit of green grass in common areas are not enough to overcome this motel's serious shortcomings: thin walls that transmit neighbors' noise, few amenities (no Kleenex, no hair dryer, no extra pillows), and grungy blankets. Really..........for $99 + tax? We won't return.

I was really charmed by the entrance to this motel, with its large lawn courtyard and tables under trees, lots of flowers everywhere. The buildings looked like old adobe, painted in the local dark pink. My double room (upstairs) was small but perfectly formed, with old-Southwest-style furnishings (closer inspection showed the furniture to be new) and decor with some charming... More

Seriously. You only get 2, thin, flat pillows with no extra ones. By the time you go to sleep and realize the pillows are awful, the office is closed (9 pm). The toilet paper is like sandpaper, almost too rough to use. On top of this, there was NO refrigerator, NO microwave, NO breakfast, NO coffee stirrers (what good is... More

I was in Taos for a wedding and stayed here with three other friends. The location and price of the Sun God Lodge cannot be beat. The room itself was disappointing. The lighting was terrible, which made getting dressed and "done up" for the wedding challenging. The bathroom was small with very little counter space. The shower head was actually... More

I liked this place. It is a little out of the mainstream, which turned out to be a good thing for me. The plaza area gets to be pretty crazy with a lot of traffic. I found it refreshing to step away from that. My room was small but cute. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Was walkiing distance... More

We loved the Sun God Lodge for the charming rooms, the budget price, the convenient location - we prefer small family owned over large chain motels, and this one is a peach! There is a small jacuzzi in the back court - we thought it was locked but it turned out to have a child proof door - you lean... More
