I'm in the room right now and my first complaint is that there is no table or desk. That means no place to work at a computer or eat. There is an uncomfortable leather chair (with a rip on one side), and I'm sitting in the chair with the computer on my lap. The room lacks anything to place items... More

Just beware that some of their rooms do not have air conditioning. And they won't tell you this on the front end. Obviously the owners are not willing to put any money into maintaining the buildings and property. Overall it's not bad for the price, but just be sure you know what you are getting.

The hot tub is closed. We were initially booked into a standard queen room, but it was un-made and the toilet in the middle of repair. So they upgraded us to a deluxe queen. The toilet was dirty and leaked badly when flushed. I remedied it. The shower had no handle to activate the shower. Water temperature jumped all over... More

The Sun God is under new management and so I was looking for some improvements. The rooms are in the traditional northern NM style, a definite plus compared to other low end stays, and they are clean. However, 1) the advertised rates are for rooms without ac, 2) with a.c. one has to climb up and into a closet to... More

There appears to be some sort of connection between the Sun God Lodge and the Taos Pueblo, but it's not clear what that connection is. Unfortunately, the "deluxe" queen room was neither deluxe nor queen. I'm not sure what the bed was, but it was too small to be a queen. The "deluxe" was $5 more and the only difference... More

Ruben is a very honest manager. Quite friendly and realistic. We stayed last night, room 121, quaint, nothing special, but quite comfortable. We'd stay there again if going thru again. Pet friendly and our Beagle is not allowed on furniture even at home...just so you know. He is a polite, well trained dog and sleeps in his crate. Overall, nice... More

I read the reviews before but booked 2 nights here anyhow. This is a very reasonably-priced-for-the-area hotel. You can't pay this price and still expect lots of amenities and what else you'd get at a place that charges 2-3 times the price. Ruben is the new manager and he is friendly, personable, and up-front about the rooms. They are older... More

We stayed here for one night while passing on our way through Taos. If you are looking for fancy, elegant, hotel- like setting this is not the place for you. What comes to mind is more casita-like, quaint, Southwestern charm. We booked the King size suite. It was wonderful for the price. More like a small apartment. While it could... More

Hello there , we stayed at the Sun God Lodge for one night. It is on the main road heading into Taos. The Sun Lodge had some character, as it is has the same architecture of the region, beautiful tones of terracotta and flat roofs. The size of the room was adequate and very clean, with a very comfortable bed... More

The Good: Nice location, free parking The Bad: Unless you get a room that you can park in front of, you'll have a hike with your bags. No flexibility at all on check-in time. Stuffy room. The Ugly: We had a party below us outside with lots of smokers. It was terribly noisy until 10:30 p.m. We couldn't open our... More
