I've stayed in a number of motels in Taos over the years and the Sun God is the best value for money I have found. To start, you really feel you're in New Mexico. The motel buildings are done both outside and inside in Santa Fe style -- wood-and-adobe construction, tile floors. Location is on the main highway coming in... More

This motel has such potential if a little upkeep was put into it. The staff are very friendly and the motel is quiet. I love the decor. The bathroom was clean but the rest of the room wasn't. The floor hadn't been vacuumed and the furniture looked like it hadn't been dusted in a month. The air conditioner worked great... More

This lodge is very nice, quiet and run by super nice people Gasper and Cindy that go out of way to make your stay with them like home. The place is convenient to eateries and is motorcycle friendly. While traveling to this beautiful area this place is must stay.

This is an older adobe motel with a South Western theme. It is very quiet with no other guest plumbing noise at all. We have stayed here before and will stay again. With in walking distance of a good restaurant and a short driving distance of historic downtown with more restaurants, shopping and art galleries. It does not provide breakfast... More

Charming, clean, quiet and an excellent value that's motorcycle friendly! This boutique hotel is run by Cindy & Jasper who go out of their way to make your stay feel like home. The location is convenient to everything. The grounds are well manicured with hanging baskets of flowers, beautiful trees and umbrellaed picnic tables in a lovely lawn area. We will... More

I stayed at The Sun God Lodge for one night in August 2014 whilst traveling around New Mexico with a friend. The hotel is a little oasis off a busy road and the owner is nice. I don't think I heard any cars in the night and our room (two queen beds) was lovely; very tasteful decor and comfy. Shower... More

Our room was one of the lower priced, this after being booked in another room first which flooded after flushing the toilet. Relatively clean but needed refurbished. We checked in on a Sunday and was very quiet. However Monday brought many check ins and quite a bit of noise. Overall good for the low price. WIFI very sporadic.

This beautiful hotel is one of the bright spots during my recent visit to Taos. I've always heard that the people of Taos are very special, and this hotel is one of the reasons why. My camper broke down in Taos, and not knowing the town very well, I checked into the Quality Inn, at over $100 a night. When... More
