Interesting, quirky motel. The room was interesting, decent but not great, but with a definite southwest look. No breakfast, though they did offer free apricots in the office. Or was it peaches, but whatever, off their tree. Not new, but reasonably well kept and not too expensive for the location. Big wide open, almost park-like grounds that were very pet... More

We booked thru Hotwire therefore, there are no refunds. Nevertheless, we left after 15 minutes and lost our money, but it was so filthy dirty we could not stay. This room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in over a year. There was an electrical heating unit running around the perimeter of the room that was covered in dirt. Behind the beds... More

Okay, so what's not to love? The rooms are clean, homey, and decorated southwest-style. The folks who run the place are both kind and informative. This hotel has all the amenities of a much more expensive place, at a very affordable rate. Hot tub, laundry facility, free wi-fi - and it's quiet and quaint, too. It's certainly not what one... I keep coming back to this place because it's clean, reasonable, cozy, not crowded and the outdoor hot tub works. I generally don't frequent Taos all that much and I've been in more quaint, charming, historical places that are not worth the price. A couple of bed and breakfast places can get my attention, but this place is good for... More

Want to feel like you are important? The staff at this lodge knocks guest service out of the ballpark!! Super quiet..very clean rooms and the feel of the southwest in each and every room. Not a hotel for the traveler that needs the "cookie cutter" feel...but if you want a little local flavor this is the place.

We stayed in December for a ski trip ... the staff is wonderful, the location is great and offers a free shuttle to Taos Ski Valley. That said, the rooms are old and dumpy. The power went out several times during our stay and the rooms are on radiator heat, so temperature fluctuated. Was it worth the stay for the... More

We stayed here in Dec. and enjoyed the hotel very much. The owners and staff were friendly, and although the hotel was built in 1947, it has been very nicely re-done with local color and style. We had a 2-room suite with a fireplace; very cozy and comfortable. This is not a 5-star luxury resort but doesn't try to be.... More

We called only hours before our arrival and the staff scrambled to get us adjoining rooms in the face of a boiler failure that made some of the 50 or so rooms in the motel unavailable. They succeeded in arranging for a deluxe queen room and a room with two queens and a kitchenette in one of the buildings furthest... More

Very pleasant stay. It's nice to stay in a decent place where the service is attentive and personable. The managers are always pleasant and positive. The hot tub is a great end to a busy day. We sat out in the tub under the stars. Probably the only negative is that the rooms are a bit dark, even with the... More

We asked for the quietest room they had that still faced the lawn (we didn't want to pay for a kitchenette we would not use) and really liked the charm of the upstairs room on the end. Overall, the hotel looked well kept, room was superclean, and the lawn service kept flowers and lawn looking great. We had a noisy... More
