My husband and I recently stayed at the Taos Inn for a night at the end of our visit to Taos. The Inn is everything you could want in a small hotel. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and clean. My favorite part of the room was the small wood-burning fireplace with a fire starter kit provided. The smell and sound... More

This is a perfect place to stay. We loved the location in town near the square and the live music in the evenings was so fun. We stayed the week between Christmas and New Years. We drove up to the Taos Mountain Ski slope each day. The drive is only 20 min - well worth staying in town.

The Historic Taos Inn fits New Mexico's sobriquet: Land of Enchantment. The lobby has to be experienced to be fully appreciated, there is a sunken kiva in one corner that is perfect for sharing an intimate drink with your paramour. The inside of the lobby roof has exposed tree branches that seem to support an adobe roof (?). The rooms... More

I stayed at the Historic Taos in during October. The location was ideal - walking distance to shops and dining, and a short drive to attractions like the Taos Pueblo. The inn, while quaint and with great courtyards, felt a little rundown. However, for a short stay it worked well.

As with every experience it always depends on who you get. We had a great woman check us in - we were last minute reservations and didn't know which room type we wanted inside the main building or one of the nearby buildings - (45 second walk). She showed us both and was incredibly welcoming. They have quite a scened... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night. When we checked in the front desk person asked us to wait a moment so he could show us to our room. When he came back, he said, "Hold on, let me get my lightbulb. I never go anywhere without my lightbulb." My boyfriend and I looked at each other and... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Taos Inn. You can't get more central in terms of the location and all the shops and restaurants you need are within short walking distance. We stayed in Sandoval House. Our room was clean and tidy, but the decor was dated and in need of a revamp. I appreciate the hotel is historic,... More

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The staff was wonderful, the inn was quaint and reminiscent of the history and area, and the rooms were cozy and homey. The perfect location for walking distance to all of Taos! An absolutely beautiful town, full of hospitality and history!

It is a beautiful place and has a great atmosphere. The pub and live entertainment were right in lie with what we expected. Location in the historic district is perfect and within walking distance to much more.

We wouldn't think about going to Taos with out staying/eating at the Taos Inn. From the interesting lobby/bar to the oversized rooms with fireplaces, the Inn is as enchanting as New Mexico itself. We love eating at Doc Martins, the staff even rustled up two bowls of black-eyed peas for our New Years Day tradition and no, they weren't on... More
