The lodge is an excellent value close to the plaza and is north so you avoid the congestion when driving to plaza area. The breakfast was good and the staff is very helpful, I would stay here again. The wifi signal was good.

We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was quite big with a fireplace it was very comfortable and clean except the fireplace was still dirty from the last occupants and although there was coffee making equipment there was no coffee. Our room was at the back of the property and someone was working on a car or truck in the... More

We have stayed at the El Pueblo Lodge two years in a row now, and intend to return for many more. We love the quaint motor lodge feel and the friendly staff. The continental breakfast is better than you find at most chain hotels, and is staffed by the most wonderfully friendly lady! Lupita is amazing, always checking in with... More

We stayed for two nights in April and had a very large room with two queen beds and a fireplace. There was a separate area with a fridge, dresser, and place to hang up clothes and then a huge bathroom. The large room was a real plus for us as we (three of us) were on a ski trip and... More

Upon arrival, the front desk had fresh cookies waiting for guests, which were quite welcome after several hours in the car! Check in process was easy and all of the staff at the hotel was friendly and extremely helpful. We used the hot tub before dinner and this was large and hot and excellent for sore muscles. Our room looked... More

After booking the el pueblo lodge based on reviews posted on tripadvisor, I have to admit I was a little disappointed. In fact, I am still trying to figure out how it obtained a rating of number one hotel in Taos. It honestly felt like we were at a motel that seemed a little worn around the edges. Finding a... More

We're back for our third visit to Taos, which means a stay at El Pueblo Lodge, in the last 2 years. This is Taos in the off-season - skiing is over, summer hasn't arrived - and it's easy to remember how the town felt more than 30 years ago. The El Pueblo staff, particularly Lupita (Lupe!) in the breakfast area... More

We stopped in Taos during our spring break trip across New Mexico, and the El Pueblo Lodge was the perfect place for us. We stayed in the old, adobe section of the original building, which they said dated back to about 1912. The thick walls made for a quiet, cozy room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and my kids... El Pueblo Lodge was a great value for us. Our room was clean and very large, including a very large bathroom. The lodge area has several amenities, including laundry facilities, which we learned are no longer as common in hotels as they ought to be! Breakfast at El Pueblo Lodge is also unmatched -- fresh fruit, baked goods, cereal, hard-boiled... More
