This is a cool little place in the heart of histories Taos. Outside looks very old Route 66 with a very up to date rooms. Big room, very clean, friendly helpful staff, great hot breakfast with a beautiful outdoor seating area. When we come back here we will definitely stay here again!

While visitng Taos, we booked the El Pueblo Lodge. Don't be thrown off by the motor inn first impression. The rooms are mini cabins...rustic and fun...and the beds are to die for....very comfortable. While we only stayed for one night and did not partake in the full breakfast, I would highly recommend staying here. You can walk to the Plaza... More

Do you miss or did you miss out on the casual warmth of a 1940s motel out on some highway in the American Southwest? If you stop for a night or two here you can still enjoy that special kind of experience, with all the modern amenities to boot. We picked one of the old casitas, with a fireplace and... More

Our family of 3 stayed a night here recently. The room was nicely decorated and we enjoyed being able to walk into the center of town at night. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed eating outside. Lots of character.

We recently had a great stay at this facility. The staff were warm and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Absolutely loved breakfast on the kitchen patio, and the person working the kitchen was great. It was like having Mom to make sure everything was fine.

I can't say enough about this place. We will be making yearly visits. When I called for reservations, I got a discount as a returning customer. I wanted a particular room and they were very accommodating-we got to stay in the same exact room as last year. Lupita-or 'Loopy' as she likes to be called prepared our breakfast and welcomed... This was a get-away for the wife and I, and she chose and booked the hotel. It is funky, weird and awesome. GREAT beds -- soft, comfy and firma enough. Large rooms, with wood flooring AND a "backporch" -- literally, a sliding glass door onto a small cement patio and a grassy, tree-lined area in the back. As you go... More

It's a really cool place. The rooms are huge, the breakfast and the breakfast courtyard are great. It has a resort-like feel to it, while also retaining a funky Route 66 kind of vibe. If a spa and a Mom-and-Pop hotel had a baby, this would be it.

So so happy to find this sweet retreat of a place after leaving another place in Taos! The night manager was so accommodating after hearing of our bad booking. The rooms were super clean, the beds were comfy & just what we needed after a long day on the road. The next morning we awoke to see the beauty of... More

We switched to this lodge from our usual Taos hotel and it made a total and positive difference in our entire stay. The owners must be brilliant because they have chosen exactly the right features to update (bathroom remodels, comfortable beds, great ac, etc) and which to leave quaint (lobby/breakfast area, courtyard, Adirondack chairs spread across relaxing grounds). We kicked... More
