We stayed here for 2 nights based on the comments we read in TripAdvisor. The hotel is located in a quiet area and it's a short walk to the shops and galleries. We did not mind walking a few blocks. The room was spacious and each room had a sitting area just outside the door. We liked tiles installed by... more

Walk to Taos Plaza from this clean and comfortable motel near to many major attractions. Our renovated room was spacious and featured a coffeemaker, fridge and microwave. Continental breadfast. Very reasonable rates and friendly staff, too. We would definitely stay there again. more

Where to begin? We reserved a queen room via hotels.com. That was about the only thing which was accurate. There was a queen bed. The room smelled. The carpet and bathroom floor were dirty. The fixtures were very outmoded - harsh spotlights in the ceiling fixtures, old bathroom, VERY old heaters in the walls. There were very few electric outlets... more

This is very old place that has been well maintained (except pool is no longer in use). Grounds are park-like, nice chairs and benches to sit and read under the beautiful trees. No street noise. Had two queen beds in our room. Huge room, all furniture hand painted, Mexican tile in bathroom with Mexican painted sinks. Very reasonable rates. A... more

This is a very old-fashioned motel with great retro-style. Very friendly, pleasant service. It's not brand new, but well maintained and full of charm. Great value for the price and close to everything in Taos. We couldn't have made a better choice. more

I have to chuckle as I read some of the glowing reviews before I write this. Yes, the rooms are large, and somewhat charming. The fireplace in the room was an unexpected bonus. However, the 25+ year old furniture and decor are in sore need of replacement. The old-school television in our room (#247) had long since toasted itself, and... more

Old time motor lodge looks like it was built over 50 years ago and probably was. But nicely updated and the King room we stayed in had a fireplace with wood and starter provided by the Lodge. Made it very romantic with a fire. Within walking distance to the square (We walked there and back three times)and only 3 miles... more

We used to stay here whenever we came to Taos because of the excellent location and quaint 50's charm. However, our last few visits found less-than-clean rooms (especially the bathroom) and we found that we could stay in a much nicer place for just a few dollars more. Many of the rooms have that "old cigarette smoke" odor even though... more

We stayed one night in El Pueble Lodge. Our first froor room was huge with a rear exit to the parking lot and front exit to a courtyard garden area. The room was definetely adequate but quite dated - peach was never my color! The room, although showing signs of wear and tear was spotless... Check in/out was quick and... more
