Adequate motel, clean enough, standard continental breakfast, comfortable beds but a couple of things bothered us. First, the two people of the desk seemed to be more interested in their conversation than getting me checked in, which may explain why I had to make three trips to the desk because the room key card wouldn't work. To fix the problem they gave us another room across the hall - on the busy highway side. However, the highway noise didn't keep us awake. Around 10:30 PM my wife had to make a trip to the van to get something and when she came back in she noticed the exit door to the back parking lot was unlocked. She mentioned this to the desk staff but no action was taken. The swimming pool was to be closed at a given time at night but there was no lock mechanism in the back door to the pool. As travelers we like to know our safety as guests is a priority so unlocked back doors at night and access to pool areas after closing don't do much for us. more
