We've spent many nights in Santa Rosa over the years, but missed out on this wonderful spot until a couple of weeks ago. Now that we know about the LaMesa, we'il never stay anywhere else! Rooms not huge (choice of 1 or 2 queen beds) but we had plenty of space for everything & found our room & the bed... More

It may not look like much from the outside, but this is a fantastically clean, remodeled motel on the inside! Spotless, comfortable and $47! Mike, just a good old boy, the owner, is great! I called two weeks in advance to reserve, I asked him what he needed. Said just your first name and the date you want to stay.... More

I was a little worried about the quality of rooms because the neon sign is broken. But glad we stopped anyways. Very friendly and helpful staff, even showed us the room before we checked in. The room was clean and comfy. Better than some corporate hotels that cost more. Will definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It is always clean and the beds are very comfortable. When I am in Santa Rosa,NM I prefer this motel over the national chains anytime. The owner is local and on several occasions he has met me at the motel at 1 am to check me in. Highly recommended.

A very clean and neat room with amazing customer service! We called last min and the front desk clerk Meagan was so sweet and accommodating ! The room offers a queen size bed, microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and tv with direct TV. All in all a great deal :) I would stay again on my next cross county trip!

Love the sign! Clean! Neat. Great beds. Wonderful shower. TV. Coffee maker. "Basics" perfection. Mike is great. Took me back 40 years! Love that "non-corporate" atmosphere. Gave me a "warm" feeling staying there.

I give this place five stars simply because I called while I was still in ABQ and the owner offered to hold their last room for me. He stayed past his normal time to wait for me to arrive and was very helpful when I got a little turned around coming off I-40. He made sure to show me my... More

If you'd prefer something more appropriate to Historic Rt. 66 than the chain hotels give the La Mesa Motel a try. You'll see their huge neon sign on the highway right across from a big purple water tank. Single story rooms open to the gravel lot. The 1-bed queen room we got was clean with a comfortable bed, a small... More

Traveled from Washington to Texas and back in mid-October, 2014, and when I passed through both ways, I stayed here. I told Mike that I'd probably stay here on my way back through and when I drove up, he started the paperwork. He was almost finished by the time I walked up to the desk. That's SERVICE!!! Mike was super... More
