This was our second time staying in Madikwe and we had a lovely time at Motswiri. The staff friendly and welcoming, the chalets were awesome (I loved the bathtub and outdoor shower--though it might be chilly in the winter), and the bed was comfortable. We got lost on the way to the lodge (we had a hard time deciphering the... More

Lodge has good facilities, rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Room 4 has a great view of the waterhole, and on check in there was an elephant drinking there! Service is good, and the tables were nicely laid out, especially on the last night where the staff set up a beautiful table on the viewing deck overlooking the waterhole, with... More

Arrived on Xmas Day for a 2 night stay. Dinner table at night was beautifully decorated and food scrumptious . We had 4 game drives and while we did not see many animals, the quality of our viewing was superb. Lions, cheetahs on two occasions , a female leopard, rhino, buffalo, a family of jackals, elephant and lots of Impala... More

Our stay at Motswiri Private Safari Lodge was fantastic. The staff was excellent and very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food tasted great with good variation from meal to meal. There is safari very early morning and late afternoons, so you have some time to yourself during the day. Free,... More

We stayed in Motswiri for one night and enjoyed it a lot. The small thatched house we got was very nice: bathtub next to large windows, outside shower, huge bathroom, terrace, beautiful bed. Everything was very nicely prepared with flowers and small attentions from the staff. Our hut was overlooking some thick bush and we could see some elephants and... More

Took my wife from the USA here with my brother and his wife. WOW !!!!!!! What an amazing experience. Zeeda was our Guide/Driver. He went above and beyond to ensure we se as many wild animals on the game drives everyday. Zeeda is the "Real Makoya" when it comes to game drives, knowledge about the bush, questions/facts about the animals... More

Our stay at Motswiri well exceeded even our highest expectations... it was truly unforgettable! The setting was incredible; very intimate with just 5 separate lodges and the main cabin. Most lodges look out over a small watering hole which attracts countless animals... we saw elephants, giraffes, buffalo, impala, etc. Our ranger Coenie was extremely knowledgeable and always had the answers... We spent 3 nights at Motswiri and the service, our Safari drives, the bush villas and the food were all fabulous! As wildlife photographers our primary focus is on getting animal sightings and resulting photographs so we saw the 'regulars' like lions, cheetah, elephants, white rhinos and buffalo but our highlights were four sightings of two of the rarest animals... We opted to stay in the self-catering villa at this lodge over a long-weekend to experience Madikwe - and what a lovely experience! The manager took us out on our game drives and we spent our first game drive following wild dogs on a hunt. They almost caught a young wildebeest but abandoned the hunt at the last minute due... We spent a weekend at the Motswiri Lodge as a family weekend. The welcome and service at the lodge is very good and attentive. Quiet atmoshpere, as only 10 beds (5 rooms and additionally a self-catering unit for up to 6 people). The locaction is very nice, there is a waterwhole directly in front of the terrace and upon arrival,... More
