We were a group of nine – comprising children (aged between 6 and 11 years), parents and grandparents, staying at Tuningi Lodge for 5 days. We had a WONDERFUL time. The rooms are luxurious, the food fabulous, the common areas spacious and beautifully designed. Above all the staff are amazing – welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful. The service was second... Tuningi Lodge is a great place to stay while on safari. The staff, especially Heidi, are so welcoming and anxious to please. The food was great, the lodging more than adequate. Comfortable. Quiet. Only downside is outdoor showers if you visit during African winter. WiFi is only available in the common area. I highly recommend Tuningi.

All I can say about Tuningi is how amazing it is. The lodge, the location, the staff and the experience. I wanted to visit South Africa and to ensure that we went somewhere that truly is trying to conserve wildlife and habitat. Madikwe is that place and Tuningi is a fabulous lodge within that haven for wildlife. We learnt so... More

If you are thinking of visiting Tuningi Safari Lodge, stop thinking about it, and make a booking. You will not be disappointed. From the moment we arrived, our family of 4 was made to feel welcome by all staff members. The environment is stunning, the food is out of this world, and the bush drives are some of the best... My husband and I spent 3 nights at Tuningi lodge and we were very impressed. We had a very warm welcome and were treated like family from the moment we arrived. The game drives were great, we saw a lot and the Rangers were very knowledgeable. Our room was beautiful, with great views, we saw elephants, zebras and buck walking... More

We are "seasoned" safari goers having done most of the reserves in South Africa. Of all the lodges we have stayed with, Tuningi is the only one that continually lives up to its promise of being family friendly. Our daughter is now 5 and we have had multiple stays at this lodge since she was 1 year old. In all... More

From the wonderful welcome through to the touching goodbyes, it really is pretty much impossible to find any fault with Tuniningi. We are a family of four (kids aged 13 and 11) who had a luxurious family suite (two huge separate bedrooms, glorious bathrooms (and private outdoor showers), kitchen (which you won't use unless you've got babies or toddlers in... Everything was so perfect at Tuningi, I wish de could put more than 5 stars. The staff, the lodges, the food, the drives, nothing could have been better. We had no doubt the lodge was going to be great, as per the Tripadvisor's comments, but we were hoping the drives were good too: not only did we see all the... More

Having stayed at so many luxury lodges, Tuningi just seems to fall short. The rooms are ok. Nothing like some of the masterpieces you get at other lodges. The food was good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The game drives were good. All in all there are better lodges at the same price point.
