Had a wonderful four night adventure at Garonga. Excellent food and wine, wonderful beds and the view from the verandas is the Africa you've dreamt of. Convivial international crowd made the group dinners a memorable experience. The staff is attentive, exceedingly well trained, and caters to every request. You can spend a night in the bush at an elevated camp,... More

It is very rare in life that an experience is perfect; we are taught to critically analyse and recommend improvements. Garonga was 'top of the pops', an unforgetable experience that could not be faulted. Bernie's vision and attention to detail in every aspect of life at Garonga are extraordinary; he is an inspirational and remarkable man who trains and empowers... More

We stayed at Garonga for 3 nights and the service was fantastic. Bernie and his team create an amazing atmosphere, with delicious food and beautiful settings. The Rangers for the safari drives are very knowledgeable, professional and have a great sense of humour!

Every day was a joy! What makes this Safari Camp special is the small details. The staff take the trouble to introduce themselves personally and learn and use your name. Different staff introduce the menu and the chef comes out to see you each evening. Table arrangements are changed so that you eat as a group some nights and can... More

We stayed at Garonga for five nights as part of a holiday booked through Imagine Africa (the other part was a week in the Seychelles). We had never been on safari before, although it had always been a dream of mine to go. I now dream of going back as we had such a fantastic time. The whole camp is... More

The Garonga Safari Camp is a perfect blend of adventure and total relaxation in a casual yet luxurious environment. The staff is warm, welcoming and attentive and the service was excellent. Bernie and his staff have thought of every detail to make sure your stay is beyond your expectations. The game drives were extraordinary and there is nothing like having... More

My wife and myself have just returned from Garonga Safari Camp and I find it difficult to write this review without my eyes watering. We arrived via a small plane from Nelspuit which landed at the small camp airstrip. We had never been on Safari before so everything was exciting. We were greeted by Liza who immediately filled us with... More

Thanks so much for your kind words! Arriving by small Air Charter I think adds to the whole experience of being right in the middle of nowhere; it's a great way to arrive. The Boma Dinners, and Bush Breakfasts are always a great surprise, especially with the "leopard Sighting" at Bush Breakfast; those who have experienced it will know what... More

Not sure where to begin, the safari was part of our 30th wedding anniversary visit to South Africa. We took the travel agents advice and booked for 3 nights - this was our only error, we should have gone for 5 nights. We were in room 6 which was stunning with great views and we avoided the monkeys who used... More

Dear Tracey, It was great to have you stay on such a memorable ocassion! 3 days are never enough but you never know what you're going to get until you are there. We run a stay 5 pay 4 special throughout the year , and although it sounds a long time, it actually flies by, especially if you are keen... More

Wow! What an amazing place. Couldn't be faulted. Friendly, welcoming staff. Professional, competent Rangers. We saw everything including all the big 5 and it was only down to the skill of Lodrick, Elvis Richard and Anthony on the game drives. The food is second to none which is even more impressive considering it's all inclusive. Drinks were all well known... More

Thanks indeed for your kind words. As mentioned in a previous report the Game Viewing has been really spectacular but it doesn't just happen, and so will definitely give your high praise to the Guides and their Trackers. The food is a big thing in any Safari Camp, and so glad you really enjoyed it as the Chefs put a... More
