At Shamwari Riverdene lodge for 3 nights. A lovely welcome by Stephanie and a very nice lunch by the pool, followed by our first 3 hour game drive. Beautiful scenery and 3 of the big 5 spotted at the first outing. All staff are lovely. Well worth a visit.

I stayed at Riverdene Lodge recently with my daughter, on our first visit to SA. Wow, what an amazing experience we had! The lodge itself was my first surprise, just stunning and perfectly situated overlooking the river which runs through Shamwari. The views over the game reserve are just spectacular. Our suite was gorgeous, and equipped with everything we could... More

An amazing part of the world, beautiful plants, trees, birds, animals, fantastic views, sounds, smells - it would be very hard to get this wrong. But I have to say that the experience is enhanced even further by a brilliant set of people working at this place. Everyone without exception took their time to make sure you felt looked after,... We stayed at the Bayethe Lodge for 5 days. The 5 star "Tents" are fantastic with every amenity you could wish for. Pure luxury. The food is excellent and plentiful and all the staff are friendly and attentive. We had 2 game drives per day at 6am and 3pm with drinks and tasty snacks served on the drive in the... More

We will treasure our Shamwari experience forever. The beauty, the people, the animals, the scenery, the food, the gorgeous lodge... it just doesn't get better. Our ranger Nicky was so incredibly knowledgeable and was great with kids and grandparents alike. I wouldn't have changed a thing and hope to go back.

We spent 3 nights in Eagles crag Dec 14 and loved every minute. Our safari ranger Mino was more than fantastic and gave us a once in a lifetime safari experience. This was our third visit to Shamwari but our first in about 11 years and first time with kids. We stayed in the child friendly Riverdene Lodge. The staff were all very friendly from the moment we arrived and the accommodation was lovely. Our youngest child was too young to come on the game drives but was well looked after... More

Long Lee Manor was wonderful, a superb room, great views and brilliant staff - always friendly and attentive, but never excessively so. We would most definitely return. The room was large and the bed amazingly comfortable. The views from the lawn over the reserve were magical.

Just left Long Lee Manor and cannot express the wonderful experience we had! From the minute we arrived it was first class service. The suite was large and lovely. The food was well thought out and beautifully presented. The service and employees were very pleasant and attentive to our needs. The safari were amazing. I almost cried when I spotted... More
