We have just spent three nights at Eagle Crag and all the exceptional things people say about the accommodation standard, it's staff and the game drives are true. An experience of a lifetime and highy recommended.

Fabulous ++++ Return visit was brilliant and already planning next. In Riverdene you are treated like one of the family - the friendly, happy atmosphere makes for a great holiday. There are 9 rooms which promotes interaction between guests. The drives are fun and very educational. We just sat and watched three lions stalking for about 40 minutes - Ntobeko... More

Shamwari game reserve has 25,000 hectors of land with wildlife to explore. Our stay was at the Long Lee Manor known for it stunning sunrise. The manor is very luxurious and the staff makes very effort to make the stay very comfortable. The service is exceptionally good along with amazingly good food. The treatment is definitely fit for royalty along... More

We stayed at Eagles Crag for four nights to start our honeymoon, and it was absolutely incredible. When we arrived there was a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us, as well as a bath decked with flowers - gorgeous. Due to an internal flight delay we had been travelling for over 24 hours by the time we reached... More

Bucket list item ticket! What an amazing, outstanding place. The suites are original yet traditionally themed. The outdoors hot shower and plunge pool were great after a hot game drive. we had Siya as our Ranger, personalised tours, he was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. We saw the big 5 plus many, many more animals. The pride of lions on... More

I stayed at Beyethe Lodge with my family a couple of years ago and it really was 5*. The staff are all incredible and I cannot fault any of them. The room itself is stunning, the bed was very comfortable, there was a lot of space and I felt very relaxed there. The outside shower was an amazing experience, showering... More

We had stayed at Bayethe for 3 nights in March and it was great. We travelled up the garden route for 3 weeks and Shamwari just topped the whole holiday. From the arrival drink to hot towel and handmade biscuits on departure, we were made to feel very special. Bayethe is a charming set of tents within the game reserve.... More

We stayed at long lee manor and everything was fantastic. The hotel itself has everything you would expect of a good 5 star hotel, food is excellent but the main attraction of the game drives is first class. We have many friends who have gone on game drives elsewhere and they don't seem to compare to the drives at shamwari.... More

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Shamwari. Eagles Crag is classed as the best of the lodges but we didnt agree. We felt like standards had dropped a bit from the previous stays or maybe it was the lodge that we didnt find as appealing. We kept having to call reception as we could hear the kitchen... More

We stayed at Eagles Crag which was fantastic but surpassed by the truly amazing games drives. Our room (no.8) was always clean and well presented and there were lots of little personal touches like the daily African animal stories left on the pillow. The whole operation is slick and well planned, there is no waiting around for things to happen.... More
