The series of tents here are tall and under a roof with a built bathroom attached so it is luxurious if cold at night in the winter (but there was an electric blanket in the bed). The situation is great, with a waterhole right there on the other side of the swimming pool. Game wander through the camp at all... More

We had the tremendous fortune to spend two nights at the Tanda Tula Safari Camp. What an absolutely amazing experience! I would highly recommended this property to those people that want a more rustic safari adventure without sacrificing creature comforts. The “tents” were extremely well appointed and comfortable without losing the idea that you are "camping out" in the wild.... More

We stayed at 4 camps in South Africa on this trip, and Tanda Tula was our definite favorite. The camp itself is welcoming and very comfortable; staff welcoming and helpful; grounds well maintained and situated; and the tents, if you really want to call them that, amazing – overall deserving of its great rating. However, you cannot separate accommodations from... More

Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are extremely fortunate to live in a reserve that offers such wildlife diversity. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed our bush breakfast as this is a big favourite for many of our guests. Just the other day we had a few elephants join us briefly before moving on (our rangers... More

We stayed three nights at Tanda Tula. The chef, Ryan, is a delight and his food is beautiful, some local venison to try, nicely balanced cuisine and food experience. The breakfast camp is a wonderful idea. Scotch and Sam our team in the safari truck were number one. Ask Scotch about the birds, he knows so much. The tents are... More

Simply superb in every way. Service with a smile and genuine passion go a long way to making a great safari. Excellent food, very comfortable lodgings, first class guides. Tough to find a fault. We spent one night in the "star bed" - highly recommended for those who are looking for something different.

Hi Simon We thoroughly enjoyed having you and Lizz in camp. We are really excited about the new star bed experience, so this feedback is fantastic. Hopefully we'll see you both again in the near future. All the best, Don and Nina More

Words cannot express how fabulous our experience at Tanda Tula was. The staff was amazing and friendly. The rangers and guides were extremely experienced. We always saw amazing animals on our game drives, including the big 5, and learned a lot about the animals and nature from ranger and guide. We saw many animals at our camp, but there was... More

Tanda Tula was outstanding. The staff at Tanda Tula were some of the nicest people we've met on our travels. The food was 5 star, everything we ate tasted great. The game viewing was very good. The camp had wildlife coming in and out all day long. The tents were nice and very comfortable. At night, the beds were heated.... More

We had a great experience at Tanda Tula (meaning love of the quiet). The tents were amazing. Large and comfortably appointed, extremely large bathrooms with amazing outdoor showers, porch, and a really comfy bed. I loved laying in bed at night, looking out at the trees. I really felt like I was in the wild, hearing the monkeys, hyenas, impalas... More

Hats off to the entire staff at Tanda Tula Safari Camp. They know how to run a camp with the 6 AM Game Drive and the 4:00 PM Game Drive. Tracker Sam and Guide Dan are outstanding and we saw the Big 5 within 24 hours of arriving. Four couples in their late 60's or early 70's and we ALL... More

I cannot recommend Tanda Tula enough. They are the perfect balance between camping in the wild and civilization. The staff is welcoming, friendly and always willing to help. The grounds are very well kept and we loved walking from our "tent" to the lobby and seeing animals walking around minding their business. The food is AMAZING. Chef Ryan is a... More
