The safari was the main object of our journey to South Africa and Tanda Tula was a destination which delivered an exceptional safari experience which would be difficult to better. Guide Scotch and spotter Jack got us up close to all of the “big 5” on several occasions and we saw so much more as well. We met most of... More

Thank you for a wonderful review. The entire Timbavati does indeed follow strict protocol when it comes to game viewing, to make sure the animals do not feel stressed while at the same time providing fantastic game viewing for our guests. Bush breakfast is a big hit for all out visitors, and as you know no-one ever leaves hungry! We... More

I don't know where to start describing how amazing both the Tanda Tula camp, and the staff are. Our ranger/tracker pair were Ginger and Isaac were excellent. They took the time to point out all the different animals, birds, etc. -- while at the same time tracking (literally!) the more difficult to find animals. In the end, we saw all... More

Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are truly fortunate to have such an amazing team, or rather an extended family! As you say, fantastic game viewing is one thing, but without a high level of service and genuine hospitality it is difficult to set yourself apart from the rest. We take immense pride in our team and thank... More

Tanda Tula delivers the complete package. Beautiful setting overlooking dry (most of the time) riverbed, in the bush of the Timbavati Reserve. “Out of Africa” days safari accommodation in comfortable East African style tents (which I fell in love with in Kenya but can no longer go there, so this was a bonus) each with a view of the riverbed,... Dear Vanessa It was so lovely to welcome you into camp, and your comments are truly appreciated. The Tanda Tula family do certainly know how to look after our guests, and we are so fortunate to have a team which is truly genuine and willing to go the extra mile. Having leopard, lions and all the rest in and around... More

We could not have asked for a better experience. My husband and I, with our two adult children, 23 and 25, spent 4 wonderful days with the Tanda Tula family. The staff all are so friendly, accommodating, and treat you and rest of the staff as family. Both our guide, Civilised and our tracker, Sam, were extremely knowledgeable and worked... More

It was fantastic to welcome you to our little piece of Africa! Chef Ryan certainly is a wizard in the kitchen and we are pleased that all your dietary requirements were met. Seeing a cheetah in the Timbavati is a treat indeed, as they are very rare in the area as I'm sure Civilised and Sam would have explained. We... More

This was one of two camps where we stayed on a safari which we booked through Africa Adventure Co. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The highlight, we believe, is how extremely nice, friendly and sincerely caring every single member of the staff was. The only hiccup was the monkeys. They are REALLY smart. We were forewarned that whenever we... More

We just got back from a trip to South Africa and were lucky enough to stay at Tanda Tula for three nights. The tents are very nicely appointed, but not air conditioned. We were lucky it was not too hot when we were there. There are only 12 tents, which is nice. They all have wonderful views of the river... More

My wife and I have been on safari many times in South African, Tanzania, Botswana and Kenya. Yet this was the best we have ever done. It was exceptional at every level and we couldn't recommend it more. The game viewing and hospitality were world class, and it was incredibly good value for money. And what topped it all were... Jenny and I had the most amazing experience at Tanda Tula. I had high expectations for a safari, which was my childhood dream, and it did not disappoint. Our driver and tracker, Scotch and Patrick, were patient, knowledgeable and very engaging. The tent and the meals were awesome. Everyone on the staff helped to create a beautiful and memorable experience.... More

Amazing luxury safari experience. Sleeping in tents really makes you feel like you are experiencing the African bush, being able to look out to the river bed and see animals and hear them. The tents are done up with all high end amenities including a claw foot bath and outdoor shower, making for a very comfortable stay. The staff are... More

Tanda Tula is amazing! I can't imagine any safari camp that is better than this. The style, the service , the game drives, the food, the attention to details… are all first class plus. We arrived late one evening. we were greeting by the GM, hot towels and cocktails. Knowing that we would be travel weary they arranged a dinner... More
