After a short drive from our previous lodging, we arrived at Tanda Tula. This is a lovely tented camp. Each tent is situated with a few of the dry riverbed. The grounds are well kept bu the resident warthogs that keep the lawn mowed daily. Also, there are a number of Waterbok and Nyalla that roam through the grounds. The... More

From the moment that we landed in the nearby airstrip to the day we had to leave, this felt like a very special safari experience. We saw lots of game including all of the big five in the four days we were at the park. We went in the June/July so it was very cold overnight, but the accommodation was... More

My mom and I just spent 3 nights at Tanda Tula, and we absolutely LOVED it. This place was exactly what I had been looking for. Incredible food, a sustainable/eco vibe, super knowledge guides (who also went extremely far out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy- thanks Grant and Dan!) and just a stunning, peaceful... Thank you for your lovely review. We are pleased to hear that you received 'daughter points' from your Mother! As you may have heard from Grant and Dan, seeing the rare wild dog is a truly special experience and we hope you took a few great pics of them. Hopefully we will see you and your mother in the near... More

There just aren't enough superlatives to explain how Tanda Tula exceeds every expectation. The camp has every comfort imaginable yet feels totally connected to nature. The game drives were incredible, delightfully and professionally led by Civilized and Jack. The food --- incredible thanks to Chef Ryan and his staff. Just read all the reviews to get the total picture. Then... More

Thank you for sharing your experience. Chef Ryan certainly is a wizard in the kitchen. No-one ever seems to go hungry at Tanda Tula, including staff! A game drive really is as good as the team taking you out, and we are very happy to hear that Civilized and Jack took great care of you. Perhaps you have a picture... More

We left Tanda Tula just 3 days ago (7/27/14) and are still basking in the glow. The people at "TT" are its best feature. To a person everyone is extraordinarily pleasant and friendly - not patronizing. Our Guide for the 4 days we stayed is a very nice, very knowledgable, and talented bushman. Civilized (that's his name) had us well... More

On our second trip to Africa we ended our 2 weeks with 4 days at Tanda Tula from June 13th to June 17th. The trip into the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve where Tanda Tula is located was a precurser to things to come. The main road through the Reserve is a paved road and as we made our way to... More

This was the second game camp we stayed at. We absolutely loved them both, but would have to say Tanda Tula was our favorite because we really love the olf 'romance' of staying in a tented camp. Fabulous accommodations- bed/pillows extremely comfortable, electric mattress pad to keep the chill off on these cold winter nights, wonderful outdoor shower (even though... More

Thank you for letting us know of your 'magical' experience. Seeing the big five on each of your days is certainly a treat! Our rangers are indeed dynamic - perhaps you even heard of Formen's guitar skills? We hope you had a pleasant journey home. All the best, Don, Nina and the Tanda Tula family More

The rooms/tents give you a luxurious camping experience, the food is amazing, the rangers are great (Foremen was awesome!) but most importantly, the staff makes you feel like family. Absolutely glad we made this camp a stop on our trip.

Incredible game drives, luxurious accommodations, warm and loving staff, Gourmet cuisine by a Master Chef. Each meal was a culinary adventure! We took a walking safari with our guide, Civilized, which was an amazing experience! We came comfortably close to a lion! And saw so much up close and personally. We fell in love with the entire experience due to... More

I recently took my niece and nephew (25 & 27 years old) to South Africa and our first stop in the Bush was Tanda Tula. It couldn't have been any better--they both thought it was perfect. The tents are lovely and comfortable, with deep bathtubs, electric blankets (in winter it was a trifle chilly at night!), outdoor showers, and a... More

It was fantastic welcoming you, your nephew and your niece to our camp. As a vegan it must be challenging at times travelling so we are pleased that Chef Ryan looked after you! The team takes great pride in welcoming guests as extended family so we are pleased to hear you felt this. Hopefully we will see you in camp... More
