We spent 3 nights at Waterbuck and the stay was the highlight of a 6 week holiday. It was our first experience of a game park and far exceeded our expectations. Hannes and Anita were perfect hosts and made us feel as if we were part of the family. The accommodation was first class and the food delicious . The... More

One of the best bush breaks we have ever experienced! From the moment you come into contact with the staff of Waterbuck you are made to feel relaxed and comfortable; every aspect taken care. We had the privilege of booking the entire lodge, this was fantastic and made it even more homely. The food is out of this world! The... More

This lodge is excellent. Gareth and Tarryn provided warm hospitality and Lodrick's tracking and Gareth's expertise led to excellent game viewing. Although we were not ticking boxes as we just enjoy being in the bush, we were treated to the big five and many unusual sitings within two days. Aardvark to zebra, but the three cavorting leopard cubs were the... More

Our week at Waterbuck was magical, my second visit and certainly not my last. The staff are some of the best I have encountered in my extensive travels around the world. Hannes and Loderick ensured each game drive provided a wide variety of sightings from the big five to the smallest creatures. Hannes has an encyclopedic knowledge and his love... More

We've stayed at Waterbuck on two separate occasions and each trip was memorable. From the minute you step onto the welcome deck, this African Bush experience will make you want to come back for more. The rooms are very authentic and comfortable; the bath-tub looking out into the wilderness is great and so is the outside shower. The food, throughout... More

I've been to over 50 countries around the world and my trip to Waterbuck was my second safari. (My first being to the same lodge frequented by the likes of Prince William and Ralph Lauren.) My overall experience at Waterbuck was absolutely spectacular. The staff make you feel more like family and with only four rooms, you can easily do... More

Had an absolutely amazing time here. All the extra special little touches added up to a huge wow of an experience. Hannes and Vusi worked really well together tracking the prints and ensuring we saw all the animals. The afternoon tea had a refreshing and fresh salad, nice assortment of cheese and crackers and a delicious dessert. Loved the outdoor... More
