Great accomodation -all the rooms very private and with great views. Food was great, staff friendly and always on hand and the game drives fantastic! It felt very safe even though two lions decided to spent the night just outside some of the rooms!

We spent three nights at Thornybush Game Lodge in early December 2014 and had a fascinating time. The lodge is clean, the staff welcoming from the very first moment and all moments after. The cabins are clean, very private and very comfortable. The food was great. All the meals. I was surprised to be received with gluten free bread, baked... More

Just on the drive into the game reserve, even before we got to the lodge, we saw giraffe and zebra on the side of the road! When we got to the lodge we were graciously greeted by our hosts and guided to our beautiful large rooms. Our meals were fantastic. Our rooms were amazing. The property is gorgeous nestled right... I have never been moved to write a review until now. I had an unforgettable stay at Thornybush Game Lodge. The accomodations were beautiful and comfortable and had decks facing the river - very private and peaceful. The food was plentiful and delicious. The service was not only impeccably attentive, but warm and welcoming as well. All that would be... More

You are there to see the wildlife so, for me, wifi, room comfort, room service are somewhat secondary. Please let me expand as this may give the wrong impression. The rooms/cottages were great, well serviced and wifi was available in the communal areas. This is a holiday, who cares? The staff were wonderful, the food excellent and the 'surprises' were... What an amazing lodge and staff. We were greeted by our Butler and Ranger. They remembered my name every day and ensured I was well fed for the days activities. The safari was amazing. Early starts with a coffee and muffins at 5am and then hunting for the Big 5. The rangers all have ear pieces so the only noise... More

Three nights, five safari trips, outstanding service, a great and knowledgeable staff, a very comfortable private "villa", and an outdoor shower. What else could you ask for? Oh, the wildlife. Yes, we saw the big 5 plus so many other animals here. This has to be on your bucket list.

Fantastic! The individual cottages are beautiful with a large bathroom, and even an outdoor shower. Very comfortable. Game drives are early in the mornings at 5:30 am and then again at 4 pm and the guides are very knowledgeable and have a lot of experience in spotting wildlife. Our guide was Aubrey and the spotter Nethan and the combined experience... More
