From reception to departure, this is a fantastic experience. The chalets are excellent and the food is truely amazing. Add to this wonderful staff who enjoy providing good service and you have the ingredients for a great holiday. However it is the actual time spent on safari that is breath taking! The guides and trackers are excellent, the vehicles comfortable... More

After over 10 days in southern Africa, Ngala was actually our first real safari lodge. We'd already stayed 3 nights at andBeyond Sossusvlei in Namibia, so we knew to expect stunning rooms and impeccable service. We were not disappointed! Room - we stayed in the Family Suite which was perfect for our family (2 adults, 2 kids). It was privately... More

We stayed at Ngala for three nights in July and cannot recommend the place more! The lodge is about an hours drive from the airport, and the amount of animals we saw on the transfer alone was amazing! On arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks and refreshment towels. We were given some rules for our safety such as not... More

We just returned from a three day stay at the Safari Lodge. It was our last stop on our safari trip after stays in Chobe and in Sabi Sands at Kirkmans Kamp. We drove to the lodge from Kirkmans with a stop on the way at Elephants Whispers for an elephant encounter. The drive took about two hours. At arrival... More

We stayed at Ngala with our 9 year old daughter for 3 nights. It was fabulous from start to finish and we would like to thank all the staff and especially Andre and Joseph (our ranger and tracker) for an experience we will never forget. We are already planning to return next year with all of our family.

OMG! One of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. From upon arrival we were treated as family and not just guests, all the food was extremely delicious. The staff are fantastic making you feel like you're at home. The lodge itself is worth every $$$ wild animals on the front lawn eating, elephants drinking from the water hole... More

This is the place. The staff was excellent. The game driver (Barney) was unbelievably knowledgeable. Flora, animals, history... Also makes a great sunset gin martini. Within 24 hours or our arrival we had extensively seen the big five. Now he practically wrecked his ride (jeep) tramping through the bushes to get within 20 yards of a big leopard. Food at... More

Ngala was recommended by a safari tour company referred to us by our South African friend. The tour company explained that they send people to Ngala because "it's a bit wilder" and that describes it well. In all respects a superb safari experience. The staff create a world-class customer experience, particularly our tracker and guide, who worked brilliantly together and... More

This was our first stop in Africa, and, to some extent, spoiled us for the rest. If there was a downside, it was that I wished we had more time to do nothing! (We found the lodge through Aardvark Safaris of Solano Beach, CA -- they highly recommended it through personal experience.) We were always greeted with hot water or... More
