Stayed at Baobab Ridge in July 2013 and now again in March 2014. Although the bush looks totally different, floods happened the week before we arrived, we had a wonderful stay with magnificent sightings of 4 out of big 5 , with the bonus of a pack of wilddog ! In March no off-road driving because of the rains ,... More

We stayed at Baobab in November for 5 magnificent nights. After driving from J.burg and stopping at the local PicknPay for our food and drink, we arrived to the friendly and welcoming faces of Nini and David. Our safari trips were everything we imagined and more. We saw 4 of the big 5 regularly with a possible leopard on our... More

We spent three nights at this lovely, place, appreciating amongst others that *we were the only ones allowed at the lodge, *the fantastically appointed kitchen (it's self-catering) *the luxurious and well-positioned chalets, *the fact that the fire was ready in the boma when we returned from the evening game drives, *the friendliness of the staff, *the swimming pool with a... My partner Joris and I spent 5 days at the Baobab Ridge with a large group of friends. The lodge and property is beautiful and the individual lodge rooms were gorgeous! We loved the views from our bed ( where we would see elephants drinking at the watering hole) and the giant relaxing bathtub for after a long day of... More

Most of the private game lodges have become simply unaffordable, even when converting from a strong Swiss Franc. Baobab Ridge has the perfect solution: self catering, and luxury accommodation including wonderful game drives at a reasonable price. The biggest plus is that you have the whole camp to yourself and your group and do not have to consider other travellers... More

This was a very special place to stay during my trip to South Africa. We saw the big five...three leopards together just after a kill on one occasion! I would certainly recommend a stay here if you are planning a trip to South Africa and want to see the Big Five. David, our guide, is sensational in his tracking skills,... More

Wonderful lodge large and spacious. Fantasic kitchen whether you self cater or spoil yourselves and take a chef. Plentiful game, good walking if you are interested. The flight from Cape Town to Hoedspruit was 2 hours, we were met by Jason a delightful and embracing host, we then enjoyed a 40 minute drive to Baobab Lodge.

Baobab Ridge more than met our expections! Accommodation was fantastic with very spacious rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was professionally kitted out. Jason was an easy going host who knew the area very well. Once in a lifetime game viewing in landies and on guided walks - lion, leopard, wild dog, elephant, rhino, etc etc. All in all a really... We have just returned home to Cape Town after a really lovely time with family and friends at Baobab Ridge. The Lodge is well laid out and luxurious, the units are beautifully built to blend into the bush and are set out all along perimeter fences and at night you can hear lion / rhino / hyena etc just outside...
